Outside pictures need to be updated as the lake is extremely low!! I personally live on a constant level lake and would have NEVER paid this kind of money for these water conditions!! Fishing from the property is basically a no go unless u want to wade out into the water. I also would not recommend beaching your boat unless you own a flat bottom. Extremely shallow and marshy!! You can launch your boat at the state park, which is very close and has a nice ramp and fishing dock, but this too was scary as we are not familiar with this lake and there is lots of stumps showing at this time.
With all that being said, the house is pretty private, the layout is great and there is plenty of parking.
The pool, hot tub area and outdoor grilling area are great. There is a pellet grill and a small charcoal grill. There is a gas grill you may see in pictures but it is out of service.
The reviews I read prior to booking stated there was an ANT issue but I figured this had been addressed. Not sure if action has been taken but there are plenty of ants on kitchen counters so don't leave your food out!
Prior reviews also stated the kitchen was adequately stocked. I would say moderately stocked. We needed foil and a hand mixer and a ziplock baggy. Did not see any of these items but there is a SMALL HEB close by where you can purchase most any of your needs. There seemed to be plenty of dishes, pans, silverware and even paper products!
Communication with the property manager was a tad slower than I am accustom to.
I would recommend patio furniture on the back porch but there is plenty down by the pool. I would also recommend instructions or labeling of the lights and tv remotes, but we eventually figured out most of it.
