We had a wonderful stay in Bay City! The house was super cute and comfortable! It was less than a 10-minute drive to the downtown area. The place was fully stocked with basic bath/shower supplies. The kitchen was equipped with appliances and cooking essentials. The hosts provided us with detailed instructions about check-in and check-out. Overall, great experience!

Wonderful home to stay at!

Our 2nd stay there and did not disappoint. Very peaceful in the large backyard, that allows for visitors to stop by. The owners are always friendly and polite. The decor brings back memories of staying at my grandparents house. The 6 of us really loved it!

Great place to stay

Wonderful place to stay. The house is set up with every convenience and so comfortable. The yard is large with beautiful plantings. Two outdoor seating areas. Excellent parking space available for truck/boat trailer and visitors. Neighborhood felt very safe. The hosts are a pleasure to interact with. Cannot say enough good things about this rental. Hope to stay again.

The house was nicer than the images shown and quite large. Worked great for entertaining guests that visited. The backyard was huge! We booked again for next year.

Beautiful space

The weather, house and grounds were perfect for our stay. Everything was exactly as it was supposed to be. The flower gardens and outdoor space was exactly what we needed to relax and enjoy our trip. Would recommend to any going to the area.

Walk to Lake Huron

We loved renting this property. The gardens and chickens in the backyard were delightful. The owners have thought of everything! Only a 2 block walk to Lake Huron!

The Wonderful Wenona Cottage

My family (husband, 12 yr boy, and 14 yr girl) loved our week at the cottage. Everyone had their own room/space. It was especially wonderful that the primary room was on the opposite side of the house and had an exterior door, coffee maker, mini fridge, and full bath! The house is surprisingly spacious. We were able have my siblings and their kids over for a taco dinner. The backyard was perfect for morning coffee, as well as, campfires and s’mores. The location worked perfect for us and the convenience off the party store across the street can’t be beat!

Everything went exactly as planned. The property was a wonderful place to stay. The property was very clean and a lot of room. The property managers were very helpful. The family we went to see was only 8 minutes away and that helped. You will enjoy your stay there

Good Choice

The cottage was clean and was in a good location. Convenient to shopping and downtown Bay City. It is located a few minutes from Bay City Park. We plan to stay again.

Wenona Cottage is co-owned by Alan and Tim. Alan is a retired public school teacher and Tim works locally as a chemist.
Tim manages the bookings and answers the questions about bookings and logistics while Alan manages the physical upkeep and in person interactions with our guests.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

The driving purpose behind Wenona Cottage is to eventually provide easily accessible accommodations for Tim's ageing parents, then, as time moves along, for ourselves.
After purchasing the house we spent a little more than 2 years bringing it up to where it is today. We cleared and landscaped the yard, upgraded the exterior, reconfigured the interior flow and use, remodeled, insulated, upgraded utilities, furnished and decorated.

この宿泊施設の特徴

Wenona Cottage has woods next to and behind it, making it fairly secluded and quiet. Our home is next door, so were easily accessible. Across the street is a bait shop/convenience/liquor store. A few steps further is the Bay View Bar with a pretty good menu, fair prices and entertainment on weekends. For fishermen, the Saginaw Bay is a few steps further from the cottage, and the DNR boat launch just 1-1/2 miles to the east on the Saginaw River access to the Bay. The cottage is 3 miles from Walmart, about 5 miles from the downtown business districts and about 20 minutes from world famous Frankenmuth, 30 minutes from Midland's beautiful Dow Gardens, 45 minutes from the Birch Run Outlets.
