Moore Mountain'Inn is a private home on over 5 secluded acres, tucked on a wooded mountain side, at the end of a 2 mile dirt road, with 500 ft of private shoreline and an oversized boat dock, 2 massive decks offering big water & sunset panoramic views and cool lake breeze. Decorated in comfy, rustic, contemporary charm, MMI features 3 different levels of private vacationing, each with it's own large deck. Stroll the beach, swim, tube, tie a boat to the dock, watch the kids frolic in the lake.

In 1965, when my parents were looking for a NC mountain summer property on Lake Glenville, they basically had the pick of the litter of the entire lake. And therefore, they got the best home in terms of location/close proximity to Cashiers and the massive expanse of big water and sunset views. Located on a peninsula jutting out into the lake, Moore Mountain'Inn sits on 5 totally secluded, private acres with a long range, big water panoramic lake view and 500 ft of pristine shoreline, totally unheard of in today's Lake Glenville properties. I know you'll enjoy this house, a labor of love, restored as a loving tribute to my parents who gave my brother and I an amazing lifetime of memories at this house. It is fitting that the home displays items like my dad's antique tool collection and my mom's antique furniture and glassware, along with many other original features and decor of the past 50 years, all done in a tasteful, comfortable style. The house is stocked with everything you could possibly need.

After 50+ years in Cashiers and Lake Glenville area, i will supply you with all my ideas of the best of the best things to do, from dining and shopping, to lake activities and waterfall hikes. Everything you want to know, and some things that you don't, i'll tell you!!

There is a one-time fee per dog of $75. You can pay this thru any one of various easy payment methods. Sorry, but cats are not allowed due to peoples allergies.
- if bringing a dog, the dog must be well behaved, house trained and not a chewer or scratcher. The dog must be preapproved by the homeowner. - There is a $75 one time fee for a dog guest.
- cats are not allowed, sorry! too many people are allergic.
- An 8% fee will be charged for a reservation cancellation to cover 2 credit card processing fee events

Beautiful and secluded stay

Our family had a wonderful time at this cozy, secluded cabin in a beautiful setting. Highlights included - the firepit and outside decks, comfortable furnishings, gorgeous views, and private location.

Private, relaxing, wonderful & the view is fantastic!

Our family of 4 stayed over Thanksgiving week and we have a fabulous time. The property is VERY secluded at the end of the road with a beautiful view of Lake Glenville. We enjoyed fires everyday in the fire pit, nice long cool walks, privacy galore. Would definitely enjoy returning! Thank you for sharing this special retreat!

Amazing lake views

From the moment we pulled into Moore Mountain Inn we fell in love. The lake view is absolutely amazing. The house was exactly what we were looking for in a mountain cabin. Lisa(the owner) was so easy to work with and one of the most organized people ever. She has plenty of great ideas of things to do in the area. We can't wait to go back and are already trying to plan our next trip.

Private TRANQUILITY with a VIEW

Quaint cottage with all the amenities on a gorgeous lake location. Hostess could not have been more friendly and helpful in ensuring we had the best possible stay. They have canoe and kayak and we brought our paddle boards and went out every morning. Easy to rent pontoon boat from Signal Marina and cruise the lake looking for water falls! We will definitely stay again at this lovely lakefront cottage!

Magnificent location on beautiful lake - secluded, great vistas, close-by hiking, canoe and kayaks for paddling, dock for easy swimming, and Cashiers shops close enough if you need something. Clean, comfortable, well-equipped home with ample space for privacy and social distancing, if needed. Excellent, rapid-response host.

Very nice!

My family enjoyed a very nice week at Moore Mountain Inn! The home was very clean and well maintained. We spent most of our time on the two huge decks and the floating dock (the canoe and two kayaks are a real bonus, too!). Cashiers is a sweet little town and just an hour's drive from Brevard. We love the waterfalls and the Cashiers sliding rock is also a favorite! It was a perfect escape from the sultry, hot and humid Lowcountry...

Beautiful

I would describe the property as very upscale rustic, with a great view. The decks really are splendid, and we spent almost all our time on them, including dining. House is very well maintained, with comfortable beds and new appliances. The owner's suggestions on what to do in the area was very helpful, and we took a number of her recommended hikes and waterfall viewings. It's a long, winding road to get to the property, but once there you have complete privacy. A special place.

Comfortable property!

We enjoyed this house very much - room for our family of adults to spread out. The fire pit patio is perfectly designed - had a lazy evening watching the sun go down and the clear sky. Having kayaks and a canoe ready on the dock to jump into made for fun without planning!! We fished from the dock too - a simple pleasure. We did rent a boat for tubing and also went zip lining for a fun day out. Highly recommend - the renter is totally accesible and wants you to have fun!!

Perfect week on a mountain lake

We had a wonderful trip with our entire family, soaking up the view, enjoying the cool air, and just relaxing on the mountainside. Lisa was beyond helpful, available to us from the moment we booked our trip, to the day we left. We can't thank her enough for her hospitality. Her cabin provides a beautiful panoramic view, plenty of space inside, a floating dock, and a fire pit we used every night for s'mores and story telling. Amazing Lake view

Much loved and cared for house on a pristine vantage point of Lake Glennville. Steep path to the lake, but unlike most properties, you get an amazing view from the two well appointed porches and do not need to go to the dock to see it. Very involved and invested property owner who personally assisted us above and beyond when an unexpected medical issue popped up. Unique layout as there is a large suite physically separate on another floor from the main 2 bedroom living area.

Great Rustic Lakefront Home

We loved this rustic mountain lakefront cabin. Amazing view of Lake Glenville. You feel like the only home on the lake as you cannot see your neighbors thru the trees. If your a sports fan or just want to watch some TV this home's Direct TV is what you need. NO BUFFERING like so many mountain homes without Direct TV. Lisa is GREAT....on top of everything to insure you have a great experience. Highly recommend!!!!!

Secluded Cozy Cabin w/Great Views

Cozy family cabin with main floor having a rustic feel with wood paneling and decor but with modern touches. Kitchen is small but stocked well. TV/Entertainment system worked very well for being in the mountains. Off the main floor, and down the deck stairs is the more modern master suite with its own deck (not optimal for us since we had a lot of rain during our stay and stairs to this level are not covered). Both decks are perfect for hanging out with wonderful views. Host is very helpful and gives you all the info you will need.

Awesome! Just awesome!

Moore’s Mountain’Inn exceeded expectations! It’s a cozy, charming cabin nestled in the woods with a beautiful view of the lake and great access to the dock. This house sits on the water and comes with a private dock. I was worried about the stairs to the dock at first but came to realize they are not hard at all, especially considering the stairs on the other properties. There are about 25 steps total and most of the stairs are on a slope so not steep. There are lots of places to sleep and the beds are super soft and comfy. Moore’ Mountain’Inn exceeded expectations! I’ll be baaack!!

Lake Glenville retreat

My Family and I stayed at the property last week. The owner Lisa was very accommodating, as well as detailed with the information she provided about the house and things to check out in Cashiers / surrounding area. We had a wonderful experience and would recommend this property to anyone looking to have a relaxing getaway. The house is tucked back in the woods with outstanding lake views from either deck as well as the outdoor stone fire pit. If you exclusively enjoy being pampered in luxury (which I am not against, and enjoy myself from time to time) this is not for you. If you enjoy being in nature, feeling cool mountain air off of a lake, and spending time with family and friends without distractions this is for you. We plan on returning next summer!

Private, Peaceful, Paradise

This lake house is the perfect combination of traditional charm with modern conveniences. The house is spacious and well decorated, with a great kitchen, dining area and living room. We lacked nothing in preparing meals and really appreciated the small dishwasher which helped tremendously with clean-up. The house was well-stocked with plush bathroom towels, comfortable bedding and even soft bathrobes on the bathroom doors. Of course the highlight of the property are the outdoor spaces - the beautiful porch sitting areas, the fire pit and the dock, which take full advantage of the incredible views of Lake Glenville. The biggest perk of this property is working with Lisa, the owner. Her positive personality shines through in all the planning, booking and staying and her wonderful family home. You won't find a more accommodating, friendly owner who truly cares about your vacation experience. Thank you, Lisa!

My favorite spot in the whole world

I am not a renter, but I have made many wonderful memories here and can attest to the magic of this spot. Yes the views are spectacular, the house is cozy and charming, the area is loaded with outdoor activities etc. but what I love most about it isn't something you see or touch. My grandparents spilled decades of love into this home and the feeling I get just driving down Fenley Forest can be overwhelming at times. I have no doubt that you and your family will create memories of the same reaction when you come to visit. To be honest, I was against renting it out. I wanted to keep strangers away from what I cherish so dearly. But you won't be a stranger by the time you leave. You and yours will add to the unforgettable spirit of our home. So come make yourself comfortable and get ready to feel some love!
