Construction Notice:
Nosara is a developing community, and construction or remodeling may be taking place near the property, as well as on the main road in front. While we have adjusted our rates to reflect this, please be aware that construction schedules are beyond our control. Feel free to reach out for more details before booking.
Security Awareness:
Nosara is a wonderful and welcoming community, but as in any tourist area, petty theft can occur. Most incidents involve cash and valuables left unattended. To ensure a secure stay, we assess guest dynamics to recommend the best house for your needs. If additional security is desired, a nighttime security guard can be arranged at an extra cost. Guests are responsible for securing their belongings and using available security features whenever leaving the property.
Internet & Electricity:
Due to the jungle environment, utilities can sometimes be unpredictable, and power, phone, or internet outages may occur. We recommend unplugging electronics during rainstorms. While we provide a strong mobile signal with Kolbi and affordable data rates, internet connectivity is not guaranteed. If reliable internet is essential, consider bringing an unlocked phone and obtaining a Kolbi SIM card. Please note that neither the homeowner nor the property manager has control over outages, and no refunds or discounts will be provided for service interruptions.
Water Supply:
During the dry season (December–April), water pressure may be lower, and temporary or scheduled outages can occur. We will do our best to notify guests of any interruptions.
Jungle Wildlife:
We strive to maintain a clean and comfortable home, but being in the jungle means occasional encounters with insects. Despite regular fumigation, ants, beetles, spiders, and other insects may appear, especially during the rainy season (May–November). To minimize their presence, keep food sealed, store it in the refrigerator, and ensure screen doors remain closed—especially at night.
Refund Policy:
No refunds will be issued for natural disasters, water or internet outages, security concerns, loss of personal property, or nearby construction noise. As this is a rapidly developing community, we cannot guarantee a construction-free environment.
Travel Insurance:
We strongly recommend that guests purchase travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances, accidents, or other issues that may affect their stay.
