川で楽しんだり、スカイラインドライブに沿ってクルージングしたり、地元のワイナリーを探索したり、ゴルフをしたり、アンティークを楽しんだり、ただリラックスしたりなど、すべてがドングリヒルの近くにあります。

The host is super kind and helpful I love the cabin and also their location super accessible. Super pet friendly with blankets for them. My mum husband and dog we enjoy it a lot. The pressure of the water is really good and the heater of the cabin work perfectly. We like a lot also the outdoor park where you can make fire or enjoy the sun on the deck. Special mention for the comfortable coach also.

Loved the place . Loved how large the living room was and the kitchen was stocked with all the utensils that you could possibly use . The only thing that could be improved was the mattresses in the bedrooms . They seem to be older .

The cabin was a great little getaway for us on our second wedding anniversary. Next year will do it again at another location. we like our fall getaways. Cabin was quite quaint and communication with the host was pretty good too.. enjoyed our stay.

Omgee , where do I begin?, Our stay here at the Vista Grande was everything that we had hope it would be and more. Although, we had a last minute change everything was still amazing and Ms Becky and David was very helpful from the beginning to the end and even after we left it felt like we left our family home. They are just simply the best host ever and make you feel like you’re a part of their family while just being guest. We will definetly have to revisit them again. The house was well stocked in every room with whatever you needed. It really was home away from home. It has some of the best views of the mountains (picture perfect ) just looking out from the balcony’s. I love , love, love this place. Thanks again., you guys rock !

River weekend

Great cabin very comfortable and had everything we needed. Close to Shenandoah river outfitters. Spent great day on river! Close to Luray to get out to dinner. Quiet!

Very Nice cottage/Excellent stay

Our stay was fabulous! David and Becky made the check in process very easy and were very good with communication and very informative with everything we needed to know. The house was very clean and they provided things for the pets. We only needed to use the sheets to cover the couches and a couple of poo bags. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. Our daughter really enjoyed the tub both nights. There were 4 adults, two toddlers and two dogs and it was roomy for all of us. The kids had plenty of room to play. The shower had excellent water pressure and the water was nice and hot. We mainly cooked there and ate there and they had everything we needed, plenty of pots and pans, etc. We would gladly stay there again next time we come that way.

Great Home Base

We were a college group working in Shenandoah National Park. Acorn Hill was the perfect place to stay. Comfortable beds and couch, tons of space, lovely back porch and fire pit, nice big table for meals and project work. It’s lovely home in general. Just be ready for the short unpaved road to the property as it’s a bit rough. We would definitely stay here again!

Acorn Hill

This cabin is remotely set in the woods off of a country road. It was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots and pans and appliances. Everything worked fine. The owners provide an ample supply of towels, linens and blankets. The back deck offers a relaxing setting. We highly recommend this cabin and will consider renting it again.

Dog Friendly Cabin

We brought 2 dogs with us for a weekend getaway filled with hiking, Cavern tours, and winery visits. The place was exactly as pictured and the host was very friendly and helpful!

Wonderful Acorn Hill

What a wonderful little place that was the perfect size for the 6 of us! Quiet, peaceful with a fantastic soaking tub! You can walk to Shenandoah Outfitters where you can rent a tube, canoe or kayak! Close enough to town that you can enjoy the caverns, Skyline Drive, Rescue Zoo and more! Terrific hiking too! Acorn Hill is just the perfect place to get away from it all!!! We had an amazing time and will definitely be back!!!

Cozy, quiet, and dog friendly

My husband and our two pups loved our stay! We appreciate Becky and David keeping our fur babies in mind when it comes to comfort. Excellent communication making the check in and out process easy. Traveling from DC metro, we enjoyed the peace and beauty of nature. It’s the perfect location and near activities like the Luray Caverns. Even if you have to drive a little from the place to get somewhere, it’s a beautiful drive in the country!

A lovely space!

This little cabin was the perfect size for me and my five friends for a weekend in the mountains! So close to Luray Caverns and the town! Not to mention the view from the deck was gorgeous. I would absolutely stay here again if I were going to stay in Shenandoah

Quiet, Cozy and Relaxing

Our family had a great stay at this cabin! The cabin was fully supplied with everything we could think of. Kitchen fully stocked with any baking, cookware or dishes that you could need. Every time we thought that we needed to buy something from the store for the cabin, we would turn around and end up finding exactly what we were looking for already available. I personally loved waking up in the morning and sitting out on either deck while sipping my coffee, just hearing the birds and listening to the silence of the mountain. The soaker tub was also a huge hit with our family! We loved every second of our stay! It was a five star rating for our son and golden retriever also! We definitely would like to take another trip to this area sometime again in the future and I would love to rent this cabin again…or any of the other cabins available with these hosts! They really thought of everything and it was wonderful!

Short Getaway

Three night stay in this remote cabin in the hills! Everything was in order and clean. Our son and daughter in law visited to celebrate our son’s birthday with a very nice dinner in town at Watch and Warrant. The cabin is located about 8 miles from downtown Luray on a winding road through farms and along the river. There are several nearby houses/cabins on the road with this rental. Our two small dogs loved their walks several times a day. Our hosts were in touch through VRBO with information and suggestions. Thanks to them for a relaxing stay.

Lovely cottage but surprisingly close to other houses and cottages

This cottage was cozy and the owners thought of every possible need. A fully equipped kitchen from ziplocks to spices, plus games, movies, you name it, they had it! The dog friendly accommodation was a must for us and the hosts even provided food / water bowls and blankets to protect furniture. We found the beds to be a bit uncomfortable and we were surprised by how close the cottage was to other properties and how small the yard itself was. There really was no area to play with our dog on the property. Otherwise, check in/out was a breeze and communication with the owners was very easy from the time we booked. Lots of opportunities nearby for hiking and the Whiskey Wine Loop was fun.

Together we are business owners (Adventures Await) in addition to working as a general contractor (David) and flight attendant (Becky). We enjoy time with family, love being grandparents and although we do enjoy traveling, living near the beautiful Shenandoah River and among the beauty of the George Washington National forest makes every day feel like a vacation!
