We loved the house and the location. The house was just the right size, especially with 2 bathrooms and large porch;great back yard. We brought one dog, and he was on leash 99.9% of the time. The one time he was not on leash,he ran down to the neighbor that was just pulling in. She informed my daughter that if her dog got loose again, her dogs may injure and possible kill my daughter's dog. The neighbor to the left of us never had her dog on leash, and the dog came up onto the porch while my daughter was sitting there with her dog on leash. My daughter nicely asked the owner to please not let her dog up on porch but she ignored her and walked away. My son in law had to go after the woman to say the same thing. We did not see the owner pick up any of the dog's poop. The neighbor with the multiple large dogs tried to bring two of them into our yard, to meet our dog,and we politely declined. She did not want to take NO for an answer, and we felt uncomfortable. We saw another dog not on leash. The rules should apply to all dog owners, without making the persons who abide by the rules feel uncomfortable. We would gladly go back to this lovely home and wonderful location if it were not for the dog problem. Also wondering how crowded the private beach would be if all renters/owners were there at the same time. We were lucky to be the only ones at the beach most days and it was wonderful. The owners were attentive and communicated well.
