Great little place, really well appointed with all the small things you may have forgotten, kitchen items etc. access to the upstairs bed is worth understanding as it’s a 6 step vertical ladder to the top of the A Frame. Easy for me but zero chance my mother or father are going up and down. Overall a great place and the property owners are very responsive and nice/accomodating.

Hi, I’m Lorraine! I’m an architect and interior designer with a deep love for nature, creativity, and meaningful experiences. I split my time between Southern California and this special lavender farm in Hood River, Oregon.

The property is part of my personal dream — a place where guests can slow down, reconnect with the natural world, and enjoy the simplicity of fresh air, wildflowers, and open skies. I'm passionate about creating beautiful spaces that feel soulful and grounding, and you’ll feel that in every detail of the cabin and the land it sits on.

When I’m not working on hotel design projects or developing new home goods collections, you’ll find me gardening, traveling, or walking the lavender rows with a cup of tea.

I love sharing this peaceful space with guests and hope it gives you the same sense of inspiration and calm it gives me.

I chose this spot in Hood River because it’s where the natural world still feels wild, alive, and deeply grounding. The local area views of Mount Adams and Mount Hood, the shifting sky, and the lavender fields create a kind of stillness you don’t find many places. It’s close enough to the heart of Hood River to enjoy great food, wineries, and local culture — but far enough out to feel like your own private retreat. This land called to me for its beauty and possibility, and I’ve loved turning it into a place where others can rest, recharge, and feel inspired.

You’ll wake up to the scent of lavender, sip coffee with pastoral views, and watch the sunset surrounded by color and calm.

The cabin itself is thoughtfully designed — small but soulful — blending comfort, style, and simplicity. Every detail reflects my background in architecture and hospitality design, but the heart of the experience is nature itself. It’s quiet, restorative, and inspiring — a place where you can unplug, slow down, and reconnect.
