Oceanfront Paradise | Pool & Walk-Out Beach Access
Casa Mi Casa has been in our family for generations, and it all began with Grandma Hinda and Grandpa Jason Apple, who first fell in love with Puerto Vallarta in the 1950s, long before it appeared on any tourist map. Back then, Vallarta was a quiet fishing village accessible mainly by sea or small plane. They found it anyway, and they never stopped coming back. What started as a family retreat became a cornerstone of who we are. The Casa has been gathering place, sanctuary, and home base through decades of family milestones - birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and ordinary weeks that somehow became the ones everyone remembers most. The adobe walls, the exposed beam ceilings, the ironwork by the pool - none of it has been touched to chase a trend. It looks the way it looks because it is what it is: a real family home with real history. We have been welcoming guests for nearly twenty five years, long before the era of online platforms and instant bookings. Our approach has never changed. We respond personally to every inquiry, we coordinate every stay ourselves, and we share the same local knowledge - the trusted taxi drivers, the family run restaurants, the hidden staircases, the Wednesday art walks - that we have been accumulating for generations. Puerto Vallarta has grown enormously since Hinda and Jason first arrived. The Malecón has expanded, the restaurants have multiplied, the bay fills with sailboats and whale watching tours every winter. But Gringo Gulch, where the casa sits above the Cathedral, still feels like the Vallarta they found. Cobblestone streets, bougainvillea on every wall, the bells of Our Lady of Guadalupe every morning. We are proud to share it. We think they would be too.

Gringo Gulch chose us as much as we chose it. When Grandma Hinda and Grandpa Jason first came to Puerto Vallarta in the 1950s, this hillside neighborhood above the Cathedral was where the artists, the writers, and the wanderers settled. It had a creative, bohemian energy that felt different from anywhere else in Mexico. It still does. Perched above the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Gringo Gulch is one of the most storied neighborhoods in all of Latin America. Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor made it famous when they filmed Night of the Iguana here in 1963 - their houses, connected by a bridge over the street, are steps from our front door. That Hollywood chapter put Vallarta on the world map, but the neighborhood has always been about more than celebrity. It is about character. The streets here are narrow cobblestone, lined with bougainvillea in every color. The houses climb the hillside in layers, each one with a different view, a different story. At night the Cathedral below is lit up against the sky and you can hear the mariachis drifting up from the Malecón. In the morning it is the church bells. Everything is walkable. The Malecón — Puerto Vallarta's legendary waterfront boardwalk — is just down the Zaragoza stairs and a short stroll away. The best local restaurants, the Wednesday art walks, the fish market, Playa Los Muertos — all within easy reach on foot through streets that reward slow walking and curiosity. We have never wanted to be anywhere else. Once you have had morning coffee on the terrace with that view of the bay and the Cathedral crown below you, we think you will understand why.
この宿泊施設の特徴
Almost everything. Casa Mi Casa is not a condo, not a hotel room, not a renovation project dressed up to look authentic. It is the real thing - a 1940s adobe home that has been in the same family since the 1950s, maintained with care and respect for what it was built to be. Start with the location. Gringo Gulch is the most historic and storied neighborhood in Puerto Vallarta, and within it, our terrace has one of the most coveted views in the city. The Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe sits directly below. Banderas Bay - one of the largest bays in North America - stretches out beyond it. At night the pirate ship crosses the water. During whale season, humpbacks surface in the bay. You watch all of it from your own private terrace with a cold drink in your hand. Then there is the casa itself. The pool tucked behind ornate ironwork. The galley kitchen with the pass-through bar top that opens straight onto the terrace - meals prepared inside, passed out to whoever is waiting in the open air. The exposed wood-beam ceilings. The bougainvillea everywhere. The statues watching over the pool. None of this was staged for photographs. We do not offer instant booking because we do not think hospitality works that way. Every guest hears from us personally. We share our trusted taxi drivers, our favorite local restaurants, the Wednesday art walks, the hidden staircases. We have been doing this for nearly twenty five years and we know this city the way only a family can. The Malecón is a five-minute walk. The beach is fifteen. The airport is twenty-five minutes by taxi. Everything you came to Vallarta for is right outside the door.
