Ocean View - In the Heart of Old Town -Casa Romance Escondido

This traditional Spanish house has all the comforts of home and is fantastic for entertaining as it can accommodate between 4 to 10 people. The exquisitely decorated and spacious Master Bedroom on the 2nd Floor has a full bathroom and is everything that you could wish for. Amenities include air-conditioning, mini refrigerator, coffer machine, safe box for the security of your personal belongings, a large 46 inch flat screen TV, with 80 channels plus HBO, CMAX 40 music channels, DVD, CD, Mp3 player, hair dryer, alarm clock, iron, and ironing board.
Also located on the 2nd floor is The Angels Room which is very spacious and has a choice of either 4 single beds, 2 king size beds, or 2 singles and one king with a full bathroom. Great for the kids or single adults!
The Green Room and the Native Room are located on the 3rd floor Terrace overlooking the bay of Puerto Vallarta (Banderas Bay) both have king size beds and each room has a full bathroom.


The Family Room which is adjacent to the bedrooms is very large and cozy and is equipped with two couches a chair and three coffee tables, a TV, VCR, DVD, CD and MP3 player. It has a Library with books in English, French and Spanish. It has some movies, CD music and Family Games. The desk is complete with a Mac mini computer (WiFi Internet access) 23in monitor and a black and white printer.

The 400 sq ft Terrace overlooks the bay of Puerto Vallarta (Banderas Bay) the impressive town and picturesque mountains. It has a magnificent view it is a great place to enjoy a margarita at sunset. At 9 PM every night of the year, a very large pirate ship circles the bay and shows a spectacular fireworks display.

A must see attraction from the Terrace to enjoy your favorite beverage, snacks or just to relax and unwind.

The ground level has a very large Living Room with an entertainment center and dining for 8 +. The inviting couches and 52in flat screen TV make this room truly a relaxing experience. This multi use room opens to the Garden Patio which is very lush, green and tropical. A large garden table and chairs await you in the center facing a dramatic dipping pool. A perfect place for soaking your body when sipping a cool drink. Extravagant, hidden and very romantic.

The Kitchen is very traditional and spacious. Impressively equipped with a refrigerator, 4 burner stove, oven, microwave, blender, toaster, coffeemaker, julienne, chafing dishes, water dispenser, glasses, dishes and silverware for 12 +, basic spices and much more.

Next to the kitchen is a Laundry Room with a washer, dryer and detergent for all your basic laundry needs.

A 1/2 Bathroom is located near the living room for guest use.

The Garage has a remote control (available from the management company) and is large enough to accommodate 2 small vehicles. A rare privilege indeed as parking is hard to come by on this busy little street!

Maid service is available every day for an extra charge but is included once during a week stay. Also breakfast Available for extra Charge contact the Owner.The property manager is very knowledgeable about the house and his impeccable services ready to assist you with any and all questions you may have.

Great Location, Great House

We were impressed with the house overall. We were disappointed in the "pool". It was really just a big jacuzzi. AThe washer was not working and we had not been informed. We felt we had no privacy or security. Various folks walked in while we were staying there. The owner didn't see a problem with that when i spoke to him about it. They all seemed to have the key or code to the front door.

Just Beautiful!

We love Old Town PV! We’ve visited many times, but his was our first stay in the heart of Old Town and needed a big place for our sons, their brides, and two grandkids. Check-in was impossibly easy. First rate with Fidel (property manager) giving us a full tour and making himself available during our stay for some maintenance issues which he resolved. Communication with Fidel was easy, but you’ll need the WhatsApp app to reach him. We needed a high chair and pack/n-play forThe baby. Guy ensured both were on sight when we arrived, clean and new. The location is outstanding for its central location, but quite noisy, especially weekend evenings/nights. The main one-way road in town going north is just a hundred feet away. That makes bus and uber travel really convenient, but it also attracts loud late night cars and motorcycles racing and revving their engines. Also, on our first Saturday night, a local, rooftop outdoor club played techno music until 2am so loud that on the third floor we were awakened even with earplugs. It was only one night, so not bad. We asked Yadira to prepare one breakfast and one dinner during our stay. Both were outstanding meals. Yadira is a sweet lady. We were so blessed to have her spend time with our family. The home is wonderful! The decor, layout, and many beds/baths made for a comfortable stay. We visited in March so we were able to leave the many beautiful glass and iron doors open nearly 24 hours a day.We will be back! Thanks, Guy!

Trip of a Lifetime

This property could not have been more perfect for our group. Rooms are very spacious and private. Gathering spaces were comfortable and relaxing. Location was incredible and everything was within walking distance. Highly recommend this property for an authentic PV experience. Melissa's, the restaurant next door, was wonderful. They even prepared us a feast with the fish some of our group caught. We all said it was the best meal we've ever had. Fidel was very helpful and easy to communicate with. A++++

The pictures don't do it justice. Everything in the house is great. The rooms are spacious with amazing views on the top floor. The host and the house manager were extremely helpful in making sure we had everything we needed and more. Location is central and we couldn't have asked for a better spot

Perfect House In The Perfect Neighborhood

Casa Romantica is just as pictured - beautiful! We went with our two grown kids and their partners, and the versatility of the space worked out so well. The bedrooms were super comfortable, and the first-floor common space was especially great. We also enjoyed sunsets on the deck. The host Guy De Mangeon, contacted us several times to see if we needed anything. His recommendations for restaurants and other specific requests were right on target. He is most helpful. Fidel, the house manager, also helped with questions or requests for tourist excursions. We love visiting Mexico, and when back to Puerto Vallarta, this is the place we will stay.

Amazing home & location.

This house was everything we dreamed of and the entire experience was so wonderful. Great communication from the host and Fedel. Melissa’s next door was fantastic. We also checked out their Cuban restaurant nearby. It was wonderful. Our only complaint was that the maid showed up before checkout at 9am while most of our group was still showering and packing. I know it’s high season so I understand that. Would love to spend another vacation in this home and highly recommend!

Amazing home! Best vacation EVER!!

Guy was a pleasure to communicate with (both email and on the phone, responded quickly) regarding everything about home as well as suggestions about places to eat and visit. Fidel was (contact person) was very personable and attentive. The maid was very sweet and does a wonderful job. We felt safe and so comfortable in the home. The location to the malicon was perfect for what we all wanted to do (walk, shop, eat, taxi service, tours, pirate ship, beach time). If you go to Mismaloya beach, "highly recommend" to take bug spray. Pictures do not do this home justice, it is more beautiful in person. The rooms are fantastic and our own bathrooms was a huge bonus. The weather was perfect. Just wish we were still there. Can not say enough good things about our trip. Thank you Guy and Patricia for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Awesome place !!

Location is fantastic !! SAFE !! Beautiful home , restaurants next door , grocery 2 blocks away , privacy , CULTURE !! Very clean .. My husband & 3 young adults 23-25 yrs old stayed here . If you want to immerse yourself in culture, FOOD , shopping, this is perfect. We walked 2-5 miles a day along boardwalk. The ocean 2 blocks , beaches 4 blocks. We walked day & nights, never a worry. Loved area. At end of day , we sat in tub/ pool everyday !! We often drank coffee in the pool/ hot tub in morning. ( coffee shop at end of street) Guy called to check on Us .Fidel , house manager VERY helpful. Next door Melissa’s seafood was excellent for dinner & drinks .. I would definitely come back. If you book i HIGHLY suggest comfy walking shoes as all streets are cobble stone. Weather in Jan was 80 & sunny every day .. We plan on spending. A month in this same area next year. We were so impressed with the walk ability, safe , weather and inexpensive. Walk board Walk both ways .. south to Malecón a must see at night.. so lively !!!! FUN. That’s my review.

A Terrific Home in El Centro

Our family loved our week-long stay at Casa Romance Escondido between Christmas and New Year's. We were welcomed by a beautifully-decorated Christmas tree! The home is attractive and in excellent condition and there are multiple spaces, both inside and out, for gathering or for quiet reading. We particularly loved the ground level pool and the upstairs patio, overlooking the city and with great views of the Pacific. Yadira and her daughter Sol prepared delicious breakfasts for us on three mornings. Every day we walked along the malecon, which is located just a couple of blocks from the house, and enjoyed mingling with the local families. We explored many restaurants, all within walking distance. We particularly appreciate all of the emails, text messages and phone calls from Guy in advance of, and during, our stay. Thanks very much, Guy!

Spectacular rental

Everything was great about this experience- communication prior to arrival, property manager at arrival to walk us through house and the beautiful property. We were three families, one baby. Guy and Fidel made sure we had not only a high chair but also a pack and play for 19 month old to sleep in bedroom . The location is perfect- short 2 blocks to ocean and to our surprise around the corner from our favorite restaurant, Pipis. Went to Old Town and beach there daily, fun walk on Malecon and seeing all the restaurants and shops. The place was clean, and had maid service in once. Kitchen fully equipped, including even a griddle and waffle iron. We loved this place and will be back!

Idyllic

Perfect location. Not too far up the hill but far enough / up a dead end street that relatively quiet and close walking distance to the majority of the art galleries, lots of yummy restaurants, and the malecon. Functional A/C in all bedrooms was a must. Comfy beds, beautiful space, the “cool tub” was also essential. The photos don’t do this place justice. Our group was thrilled with the house and would all stay here again. Merci Guy!

Wonderful Experience!

We were a family and friends group of 8. Guy was very easy to talk with and answered all of our questions. He checked in with me throughout our stay to ask if we had everything we needed. He was very helpful and gave us excellent recommendations for places to visit and eat. I highly recommend La Dolce Vita if you want fantastic Italian Food. Please also take the time to visit the church just around the corner. It's stunning! The House Manger Fidel was very welcoming and helpful in setting up a fishing trip for the men in our group. They had a wonderful time!! The house was very close to everything in Old Town PV. An easy walk to the Malecon with lots of shopping and access to restaurant and beaches. I would highly recommend staying at this home if you have the opportunity. Beautifully decorated in authentic Mexican style, comfortable beds and a bathroom in each bedroom. Thank you Guy for a very memorable stay!!

Can’t Wait to Come Back!

Traveled with four kids from 17 to 28 years old. The location of the house fit everyone’s desires. Two and a half blocks from the Malecon, literally right in the middle of the Art District, 15 minute walk to beautiful beaches, and more. Our kids loved the freedom of coming and going as they pleased, very safe area. The house was perfect for the six of us, beds were comfortable, rooftop terrace to watch fireworks, garden patio with soaking pool/jacuzzi to cool off in. Plenty of common spaces to gather and visit or to get away for some quiet time. Fidel is a wealth of knowledge - take advantage of what (and who) he knows! He setup a day of fishing for my husband and sons, they caught two very large mahi-mahi, the boat captain cleaned and cut beautiful fillets for us, we brought them next door to the restaurant Melissa and they prepared it five different ways...incredible! Yadi was wonderful, our 17 year old had a mishap with some enchilada sauce on a shirt he and I both worked on it, left it in the laundry sink to soak, when we came back later in the day it was spotless and hanging on the clothes line, it was a miracle that she got it clean. The owners Guy & Patricia are equally as helpful, they called us a few times to check in to be sure we were comfortable and to give us suggestions from restaurants to beaches, entertainment to massages and things not to miss like the Botanic Gardens. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Casa Romance Escondido again! Thank you!

Guy is a wonderful host and this house is beautiful! We were well taken care of by Guy and his property staff. The location is fantastic. Our group had 9 people and there was plenty of room for all of us. The restaurant next door brought over several meals for us and the food was very tasty. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone visiting PV!

A Perfect Location for a Family Vacation

We couldn't have asked for a better location for our large family get away to Puerto Vallarta. There were 9 of us in total, and from start to finish it was a fantastic experience. Guy, the owner, was super responsive to all inquiries and we felt completely taken care of. When we arrived we were greeted by Fidel, the property manager, who was very helpful and responded quickly to any and all requests. The house itself is huge, has 4 very large bedrooms, all with comfortable beds, and each bedroom has it's own bathroom and air conditioning. The rest of the house has multiple ceiling and standing fans to keep the air flow going. We were there during a particularly hot period, and while it was fairly warm in the common areas, the bedrooms were cool and comfortable. The kitchen is fully appointed with everything you could possible need, and there is a lovely rooftop terrace with views towards the ocean and Malecon. The main courtyard is very private, with a large table and chairs, plus a dipping pool that was wonderful for cooling off on those hot days. We did have the pool guy, Joel, turn off the pump and filter for the majority of the time we were there, as they filter through a solar heating system and we did not need any heating for the water while we were there. It would be nice on chilly winter evenings though. TV's are in every room with Netflix and US channels available. All of us found the beds very comfortable, and the use of both a washer and dryer for laundry was invaluable as well. Both the maid and the pool/garden guy were friendly and did a fantastic job. The location of the Casa is perfect, 3 almost flat blocks to the Malecon and buses, as well as 10-15 minutes walk south to the Romantic zone. We used Uber extensively and found that an easy way to get around as well. There are many restaurants, pharmacies, Oxxo's and other stores all within walking distance. Guy himself checked in on us a couple of times, despite travelling himself, and we felt thoroughly content staying there. We would 100% stay there again!! Just loved everything about Casa Romance!

Location, Location, Location

The best part of staying in the beautiful Casa Romance Escondido was being in the heart of it all. Two blocks from the center of the Malecon (boardwalk), steps away from Café Des Artistes (rated one of the best restaurants in Mexico), in the middle of participating art galleries for the Art Walk (Wednesday evenings) and right down the hill from the Mirador Cerro De La Cruz lookout where you can enjoy wonderful views - the climb is worth it! The owner (Guy), Fidel and the housekeeper were all very kind and concerned that all our needs were met. Thank you!

This house is the most wonderful place we have ever stayed!

This is it! It had loads of Mexican charm and was the most well stocked home we have ever stayed in! The beds were comfortable, the upstairs sun deck was fabulously beautiful with all the plants and oh so sunny! The pool was warm and inviting and used quite a lot! So close to the malacon and yet far enough away from the noise at night! The maid and the gardener were also warm and friendly! And Fidel ( the house manager) your pretty great too! The only complaint we had was the furniture in the living room....it looks beautiful but is not comfortable. But don't let that stop you from renting this jem. It was a wonderful holiday. We have a dual membership. We also belong to the Rotary club of Puerto Vallarta Sur, those non profit organizations are very involved in charitable deeds. We are doing as much of it, as we can, when we are there.
