We enjoyed our stay overall and found several things to appreciate about this property. It was easy to find, and the private parking behind the house was ample room for relaxing or entertaining made it a wonderful place to spend time.As this is a historic home, there are a few quirks that come with its age. When we arrived around 9:00 PM, we entered through the kitchen and found that the kitchen lights were not working. We contacted the host but did not receive a response until the next morning. The host explained that she lives on the East Coast and had not seen the message overnight. Once we connected, we were able to get the lights working with no further issues. The hot water system also took a little figuring out. For the downstairs shower, we needed to run hot water in the sink first before hot water reached the shower. On our final morning, the toilet flushing mechanism became detached. It appeared to have been repaired previously, so this may be an ongoing maintenance item. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and everyone in our group slept very well throughout our stay. The kitchen was also one of the best-stocked VRBO kitchens we've experienced, which made meal preparation easy and enjoyable. The upstairs bathroom could benefit from a more thorough cleaning, as there was some dust buildup and a few bugs in the shower basin.Overall, this property offers a comfortable stay with a fantastic outdoor space, great beds, and an impressively equipped kitchen.
