Dear Phyllys, Thank you for sharing your experience Our property is located about 3 hours driving from San José, sometimes can be a little more depending of the route you take or inconveniences on the trip, but should no be more than 3,5 hours We´re agreeing that is necessary a 4x4 car to access to the property, however, the road is in good condition and with any 4WD car you should not have any problems The house is surrounded by the rainforest, there are many trails to explore and access to a clear river water with swimming holes and a waterfall, the beach is only 10 minutes driving. Perfect place to relax and have an unforgettable vacation.

I call it God's swimming pool. All my friends ask when are we going to the waterfall? Being only a seven minute walk we spend a lot of time there. So glad you enjoyed your stay at our Home! Dear Nicole we really appreciated your visit, Casa Monos Locos, as you mentioned, has very private surroundings, away from other houses which assures the guests good private time with family and friends, spacious outdoor areas with a beautiful pool and large. The guests of Casa Monos Locos also have the privilege of being a few steps from the private park and waterfall “La Cazuela”, which has beautiful green areas and awesome places to swim on the river. We also appreciate that you mentioned one of our most important goals that is to give you the best stay possible, offering the best cleaning service included in the rate and also a concierge service to help you in all the ways possible and always attentive with our guests, we are very proud of our Portasol Team. Your visit was during the cicada’s season, which happens for a couple weeks once a year, unfortunately we have no control over it, and this year they were extremely loud, we try to give the best service and help possible to overcome the season.
