Welcome to Michi's Base Camp, a dog-friendly vacation rental located in the heart of beautiful Leelanau County, Michigan. This property ensures that comfort and quality are not compromised when bringing a dog on vacation! 🐾 ☀️

Step into an open floor plan featuring a cozy living room complete with a dog cot and a welcoming fireplace. The full kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances, including a regular coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, gas stove, and refrigerator. There is plenty of seating at the kitchen counter with 4 bar stools, perfect for casual meals or morning coffee.

This charming rental accommodates up to 4 guests and 2 dogs, with 1 bedroom featuring a queen bed and a computer nook equipped with a desk and chair, ideal for those needing a quiet workspace. The garage has been transformed into a fun game room featuring a twin bed with a twin trundle, a ping pong table, and a table with seating perfect for playing card games or board games. A full bathroom with a walk-in shower and outdoor shower (closes down in the fall) is also available.

Located just minutes from Glen Lake and the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, this property is a stone's throw from the National Park, the Leelanau Conservancy, and Palmer Woods. 🚴🏻‍♂️ For those seeking biking, hiking, campfires, and tranquility in a beautiful natural wooded setting with easy access to the beaches of Empire and Pyramid Point, this is the perfect spot. Close but not too close to Glen Arbor, Leland, and Traverse City, it offers convenient options for shopping or dining, with award-winning wineries and breweries surrounding the area. 🍷 🌲

With 18 acres of glacier-carved woods to explore, guests and their dogs may never want to leave the property. A fire pit in the meadow, a spacious back patio, fenced dog yard, and a grill provide opportunities for relaxation and enjoyment of the natural splendor. We also have a EV charger if you need to power up before exploring.

Want to get away but still need to log into work? No problem! We’ve got high speed internet and a dedicated workstation with a view, a 32” monitor, and a Shure USB microphone, perfect for checking in from Base Camp. Don’t be surprised if a deer wanders by while you’re typing.

Due to the location of this property, cell phone service is sketchy but you’ll never be out of touch if you “enable WiFi calling” on your mobile device.

Must sign rental agreement upon booking and upload a copy of your driver license
Must submit an $1000 off-platform security hold that will be placed 2 days prior to arrival and released 7 days after departure, if no damages are reported.
Must follow all house rules!
Minimum age of 25 years old to book.
Smoking is not allowed.
Up to 2 dogs allowed with a pet fee
Missing or damaged towels, sheets, quilts, blankets, pillows will be charged to guest at replacement cost.
Quiet time is from 11pm-7am daily.
No unapproved parties or events.
No fireworks.
Please park on the cement or gravel area only. No parking or driving on grass or edges is allowed due to possible irrigation and septic damage.
