Great location and awesome place

Location of this place is perfect and it has plenty of room. Several places within walking distance and proximity to things even if you drive are not far. The only draw back is the air has trouble keeping the house cool, and it is fairly warm in the bedrooms. Also, one shower is a stretch for a big crowd like we had. Other than that, it is perfect.

Location, location, location

Imagine if your accommodation was as beautiful as a historic home but with all the modern appointments. That’s Jones Street cottage! Very walkable, very beautiful. The stairs were a challenge for the eldest in our group, but doable.

Perfect getaway

We enjoyed our stay in this unique home. Memories were made. If I HAD to pick something negative, I would just say to update the coffee pot and have more kitchen supplies and spices. We loved the space and the location for sure. I would recommend.

Perfect location!

The house was located on a picturesque street in the historic district. Built in the 1800’s, most rooms were original and had many antiques throughout. The kitchen and bath were remodeled tastefully. The two guest bedrooms were lovely. The attic bedroom was a bit of a climb and a little cramped but worked fine for us. The management company was very responsive to my questions. Great way to feel like a local!

Perfect

Our family of 7 loved this property. Everyone was comfortable and the space was more than adequate. It is a historical home, so it is of course a little dated but it adds to the charm. The location was perfect, we could walk to most places (about 15 mins) and the only way to experience Savannah is by walking! The patio space was larger than I anticipated. We would stay here again!

Quaint historic home

Easy check in/out. Nice historical home but cluttered. Too many chairs and tables in each room. And the attic room was a storage area for extra furniture. Carpets needed replaced or cleaned as well as the couches and chairs. Pull out so sofa bed a disaster. Location was great.

As with most home rentals in Savannah, be prepared for lots of stairs. The third bedroom is really attic space & the stairs were very steep. Fantastic!

Loved the house, loved the location!! House was as advertised, and was plenty of space for the five of us. The stairs up to the loft are indeed steep, but this was not an issue for our group. Charming older house, on a beautiful, beautiful street. Outdoor patio is sizable, which was great. Even the river area was at most a 20-minute walk, which was not a problem at all. Savannah is best seen by foot, and Jones Street is a great location in which to center oneself for seeing the city. Great communication with Lucky Savannah too, both before and during (smoke detector battery replaced ASAP) our stay. Would absolutely stay here again!!

Great Place with Roof Issue

Cool old house, but we had a roof leak the entire stay and it rained a lot. Management communicated well and did what they could, but with a 3 night stay, not much could be done to fix the problem. The home is decorated beautifully, just be prepared to walk up some narrow stairs. After all, the home is over 150 years old.

Lucky Savannah was spectacular to deal with, very accomadating - even when we requested to move our arrival date up a day. The third floor A/C wasn't working and no answer when we called but there were enough fans for everyone to be comfortable. Other then that, the house, location and especially the back yard were awesome!

Nice Stay in Savannah

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cottage was very cozy and worked well for our family. The only major issue was that the washer and dryer did not work at all. Lucky Savannah Did make arrangements for our clothes to be washed, but that was only after repeated calls. We did not understand why most of the lamps were unplugged, and we had to plug them up before use, not a major issue, just inconvenient. I would definitely stay there again, but only if the washer/dryer is in working condition. Jones Street was beautiful!

A Great House!

The repairman came and tried his best but could not repair them. I read previous reviews with problems with washer and dryer. They should be replaced. The house is not meant for people who cannot climb stairs. There are 2 steep stairwells For us this was not a problem

Very disappointing

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pictures looked great but disappointing experience. Not very clean overall, dust in bedrooms and top floor, leak in the roof that coudn't be fixed during our stay (management put a bucket and towel as a "fix"), heating system (we stayed late February on a cold rainy week) was really hard to control, very cold on lower level, insanely hot in the 2nd fl bedrooms, made it hard to sleep. Great location, close enough to historic district but pretty quiet and safe. Would not stay there again unless cleanliness and heat system can be improved greatly.

Lot's of annoyances about this place

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a faulty toilet upstairs which blocked almost on the first day and had to wait for someone to come. When the plumber left we were informed it was for liquids only!. Downstairs the kitchen sink was blocked as well and the piping was actually cracked and leaking into the cleaning bucket they had put there strategically. It was obviously something that had been going on for a while. One of the bedrooms upstairs was very small for 2 people and the 4 in the attic creaked so much no dared turn over! Then I left some clothes in the cupboard and have been trying to get those back over the past weeks, contacting them on a daily basis with no result whatsoever. Ridiculous when they are able to contact me to send a review. They do not follow-up. And I am still sad about my clothes.

Needs work!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is located in a beautiful historic section of Savannah, that is the only good thing I can say. While I understand the house is old, it could really use a bit of maintenance and good cleaning. The only part of the house that was semi clean was the kitchen everything else was covered in dust. There were wasps everywhere inside and just overall not worth the amount of money spent for a week. I book through Marriott villas and homes and I am truly appalled that they align themselves with a house such as this. I am utterly disappointed in the condition and cleanliness of this house. I would strongly advise you look elsewhere so a stay in Savannah.
