Our host Menavia (and Bob) very warm and welcoming. Fellow renter Roger (& wife) from Buffalo were also very helpful especially as we learned how the front gate works and getting onto the wifi ... thanks! The kitchen was extremely well stocked with what you need in terms of appliances including a Keurig. The bedroom was very larger including a king bed, very spacious. The A/C worked well and operated quietly. In the common area was a great BBQ and a gazebo for outdoor dining. Also in the shared area was a washer/dryer. The washer was a little persnickety but it worked. Beach chairs and towels were also available.

a beautiful oasis behind the gate

We enjoyed everything about our stay. Once you get past the gate, It's like another world! We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We did rent a car because we enjoy going around the Island. We also liked the location because it was the same distance to all the beaches. The apartment was immaculate. Great laundry facilities. Would definitely stay there again!

Great location & amazing experience!

This was my first ever homeaway booking experience, and MEcasa Menavia was everything I could have hoped for an more! The property contact, Menavia, was so helpful and checked on us throughout the trip. The home had everything you could ever need while staying in the beautiful Sint Maarten. Check in and check out were hassle free, which made the trip even more enjoyable! It is a beautiful place! Perfect for a quick getaway or extended stay. We hope to be returning soon! It was an amazing experience!

Very complete studio!

There is more in this studio then You’ll actually need. Apart from almost standard things like airconditioning, WiFi, shower, kitchen, you even have things like a printer, you can do your laundry, you have an esky and beach towels for the beach, etc, etc. The convenience of your own home in St. Maarten!

fantastic property and a wonderful hostess

Menavia is essentially sharing her home with you in Many ways, and it is arguably the best deal on the island. It is located up the hill in the Dutch Cul'd sac between Phillipsburg and Simpson Bay and is literally 10 minutes drive from each, I timed it. They say you should have a car anyway even the remotest place on the 49 Square mile island are less than an hour away. Her place is in a very quite neighborhood and is incredibly comfortable. She offered us a bottle of wine from her cellar, referred us to great car rental agent, recommended dining, she just can't do enough for you. I am a new VRBO owner (Browning Mansion in Utah ski country) and I aspire to providing the kind service Menavia does. We rented a sailboat with a group and after our trip some of the crew rented a room at the Simpson Bay resort for $175 per night in the off season and it wasn't anywhere near as comfortably or as well appointed, so we contacted Menavia again and she allowed us to stay another two nights at the end of our trip and our friends might have been a little jealous as they visited us here. Your hostess provides beach blankets, towels, ice chests, no cost laundry, efficient Kitchen and dining area with all necessities, huge bath with shower and Jacuzzi tub and a very generous bedroom suite with a queen and single bed, computer wifi, printer, and magic jack phone for no cost calls. She has well deserved her super host status. I would hope to stay here every time I return to St Martin.

WONDERFUL STAY

This property was shown to us before our rental period, so we had a some insight as to what to expect besides the description on VRBO. We would recommend to others as this unit was exceptionally clean, well appointed, located in a nice neighborhood, and gave us a feeling of security. Before checking in, we got our usual supply of groceries and found out upon arrival that many of the items that we had brought from home or purchased local were supplied with the rental. The bedroom and bathroom are very spacious and comfortable - stocked with a great number of bath towels, beach towels, and linens. The gazebo was a great hangout to enjoy the outdoors, with reliable WIFI in the area as well as the studio. There were a couple of questions/concerns that came up during our stay. These items were taken care of immediately by Menavia. She is exceptional as a host, keeping in touch to ensure a satisfactory stay and providing insight into activities that may interest her visitors or make their stay more enjoyable. Her activities and interests as a host, were genuine and refreshing!

Awesome Place

Its was a great experience staying at MEcasa Menavia, the host Menavia was Phenomenal, very friendly. Communicated vey well, always check to see how I was doing. She gave great advise on places to go and what to do. The one I enjoyed the most was the natural pool in Geneva Bay, Guana Bay. Apartment is well sort through with all you'll need on vacation. Full of amenities. Great Wifi. Great residential neighborhood. Felt save staying at this location. The apartment is very clean and quiet. I had a lovely stay, I will definitely be back in this lovely place. Highly recommend.

Super séjour !

Nous avons passé plus de 10 jours dans ce superbe appartement, tres bien équipé nous avons manqué de rien! C'était très propre et bien agencé. Vous pourrez profitez du jardin magnifique à chaque passage pour rentrer ou sortir... assisté par la propriétaire durant tout les jours du séjour elle vous fera profiter pleinement de l'île ! Phenomenal

Wow! This was by far the best vacation rental I ever had. The service provided by Menavia was superb! Menavia is a phenomenal host. Very compassionate. She was in daily contact via MagicJack telephone. The apartment has a beautiful bathroom, big bedroom, nice kitchen and everything you would possibly need while on vacation. Lots of amenities. The host even has needle and thread; I was in wow of the way the host thought of everything. The apartment is beautiful and well thought through. Very clean. The apartment is in a very quite and friendly neighborhood. The apartment is centrally located between Marigot and Philipsburg. I would recommend renting a car to this location. The apartment is also walking distance to public transportation. Reliable internet. The apartment is well maintained, beautiful little garden with a great size Garzebo where I relaxed. Did I mentioned that the internet even worked great in the gazebo. The advise Menavia gave me was great like beaches and restaurant. The one I enjoyed the most was the Natural Pool and the La Galion. The host even has a house Manual for her guest. I would highly recommend this location. The place is well worth the value. I will definitely stay at this apartment again.

Fantastic

Menavia is a fantastic host that made our stay in her house an amazing experience. She's very thoughtful and thinks about the little details making sure we had a good time. Upon our arrival we were welcomed with a nice bottle of wine. The house is well thought through and equipped with everything you need. Also the house is very nicely decorated and it has got an incredible bathroom and super good kitchen. The house has got an very nice outdoor patio and beautiful little garden. Everything together made the place into a little paradise. The house is located in a very quiet and residential neighborhood and very centrally located between Philipsburg and Marigot. So perfect location to start exploring the amazing island. It's very easy to explore the the beaches on both sides of the island from here. We loved staying more central on the island to get the best experience how local people live. During our stay Menavia stayed in touch with us making sure we where well looked after, giving us extra tips and advise! On our departure Menavia was very helpful making sure we where picked up for a ride to the airport. We would recommend Menavia's places to everyone who love's a very local and authentic experience of the island. The appartment was great and we had a wonderfull time on st martin. You gave us a lot of good advice and everything what we needed was available in the appartment. We have had an amazing holiday at a wonderfull place! Thank you very much! Kind regards,

Fantastic Host!

My stay at Mecasa Menavia was by far the best. I had the pleasure of communicating with Menavia throughout my stay. She was very reliable, responded in a timely manner. The neighborhood is nice, not far from town which is pretty convenient. The decor is gorgeous, everything is clean and organized. When I got to the house, I was greeted by Menavia's property manager, who was very kind and dependable. All necessities were provided to me upon arrival which was very convenient as well. Also she gave me great feedback on where I should visit on the island. She has a house manual that's available to all guest, which shows different things to do. The internet connection was strong, and I was able to make calls to the United States for free using Magic Jack. I truly enjoyed my stay. I highly recommend.

My name is Menavia Langlais. I was born on the Caribbean island of Dominica. I migrated to the beautiful Caribbean island of Dutch Sint Maarten at an early age. I am a hardworking, honest, reliable, kind hearted, and a very compassionate person with lots of great ideas and a great personality. I love to make others happy. I've owned my own business for twelve years in Sint Maarten until I decided to retire and moved to the United States of America, where I now call my home.

I love traveling the globe and meeting people. My favorite travel destinations are Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Germany, Belgium, Hawaii, Australia, Holland, and the Caribbean islands surrounding Sint Maarten.

Someone like me has a consultative hosting style and is concerned with the guest's needs--consistently asking questions to uncover what the guests truly wants, and then being able to meet those requirements.

I worked very hard to build and design this beautiful home, which I take great pleasure in sharing with awesome people like you, people that have an interest in visiting and vacationing on the beautiful Caribbean island of Sint Maarten.

I fell in love with my home 24 years because of the view " seeing those hills and all the greenery the flowers from the front yard just made me feel happy and peaceful". I love that I am able to hear the sound of the birds. It's so serene. I fell in love with the view of the Dutch cul-de-sac. You're able to see the view of the hills as well which is such a peaceful sight to see. I love all the different fruits in the yard. Love relaxing outside in the Gazebo enjoying the atmosphere and the garden. I have a house that feels comfortable where you feel okay taking off your shoes.

The unique benefits are you have the best of both worlds. I get to enjoy my vacation home, while also benefiting from rent earnings during the rest of the time, I can visit the property during various periods of the year, either by blocking the calendar in advance or even by making a last-minute trip if the timing is free.
For me my vacation property is where some of my best and most lasting memories with friends and family are made.
