We are located just 12 miles from Downtown San Diego and the airport, the World Famous Zoo, and the Convention Center. Surrounded by nature, you’ll still be just a 5-minute drive from essential conveniences like grocery stores, restaurants, Starbucks, and Chick-fil-A. Uber Eats & DoorDash delivers here.

While the Airstream is located on the same property as our home, it is located a distance away from the house and down the hill from us. This gives it a very private spot.

For check-in purposes only, video cameras are located at the property driveway entrance to verify compliance with our house rules: a maximum of 3 guests, no visitors, and no animals allowed. Violations will result in immediate reservation cancellation with no refund.

Cleaning protocols include:
Sanitizing high-touch surfaces
Cleaners/disinfectants approved by global health agencies
Cleaning checklists are used to thoroughly clean each room
Extra cleaning supplies are provided, so you can clean as you stay if you wish to Local laws, incl. additional safety & cleaning guidelines followed

There are several reasons why:

1. We live on a canyon that has a VERY active coyote presence - in fact you will almost certainly see them or hear them during your stay - they are just part of our ecosystem here in California. However, pets HAVE been lost here to coyotes - they are extremely smart and fast. While they pose very little threat to humans, coyotes are known for snatching pets they see as prey from right in front of their owners, and unfortunately this is not an exaggeration by any means.

2. Guests have noted allergies that are compromised by pet dander/hair.

Some of these items have been the start of MAJOR San Diego wildfires that have been a huge loss of human life, property and wildlife loss---

If house rules are violated, Vrbo will cancel your reservation immediately without a refund. We want to avoid this situation, and we’re sure you do too. If you are unable to follow these rules, please do not book this property. Otherwise, your stay is subject to the Vrbo cancellation policy under which you booked. Any violation of house rules will result in the cancellation of your reservation without a refund, and you will be required to leave the property.

Guest access
Guests have use of the entire Airstream, outdoor patio area with table and chairs. These areas are not shared with the hosts or any other guests.

There is just 1 dedicated assigned parking spot within the gated area for the Airstream. This is strictly enforced since parking here is very limited and there is not really any street parking available that is close.

Other things to note

Firepit wood is available for $10 per bundle (1 bundle lasting one night). Please request in advance and let us know how many bundles you would like, and we’ll have them ready for your arrival after payment through the app. You’re welcome to bring your own if preferred.
We provide a variety of services to make your vacation a unique experience. These items can be combined with your booking by simply requesting the additional service. The following are services that we offer.

BBQ Package – $35: A grill-ready package that includes use of charcoal, lighter fluid, aluminum foil and BBQ utensils for an easy cookout experience.

Campfire Package – $45: Includes 1 bundle of firewood, a fire starter, and all the essentials for making s’mores—great for a cozy night by the fire!

Special Occasion Package – $75: A setup to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, or other special moments. Includes a bottle of champagne or sparkling cider, 3 balloons, and a small, sweet treat.
