This property was absolutely perfect for move in weekend. Not far from campus and the garage was big enough for my daughter's fully loaded RAV4 - we could leave stuff in the car overnight and not worry about it being broken into. The beds were super comfortable and the sheets were sooooo soft! It had everything we needed - but the big bonus for us was the garage.

The host was welcoming and responsive. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware and appliances, dishes, though the cookware was very used and could use newer ones. The house had a rather musty smell upon entering. Since we had a toddler that managed to get toys under the furniture, we encountered a lot of cobwebs and dust bunnies. The house was spacious with comfortable bed and nice fenced back yard. But could use an upgrade, with a lot of kitchen cupboard doors sticking and walls needing touch ups.

Doris, thank you for your comments. It always helps to hear what guests feel when they arrive and how they do during their stay. The home is in the process of some needed upgrades, starting with a new electric fireplace, cookware, and paint touchup on a few walls. It's inevitable that they get marred from furniture being moved and people coming and going - it's just the natural use of a home, and we understand that. We just finished the paint touch up last month, but it appears we need to take a look again. We're happy to do that. We're glad your large family enjoyed their extended stay in Lubbock as they got to visit with you. Thanks for booking with us.

Nice home! Great for pets. Difficulty when arriving because VRBO sends the wrong address when the keys are sent. We showed up at the wrong address that was sent and knocked on some poor gentleman's door. Communicated this to property manager but they didn't seem to be interested in getting it corrected. Also really four rolls of toilet paper for a house rated for 10 people?

Thanks so much for your comments. The tricky thing about getting to the right house is that it is on Place not Street. So, if Street is put into the GPS system it will take you to one street away. These notes are made on our ad just in case. Sorry for the confusion. I am the owner who you reached out to, and I certainly was interested in getting it correct and responded to you, checked out the site, and reached out to make sure you arrived. I know it can be confusing when looking for a new house. Our thoughts on toilet paper is we supply two rolls for each bathroom and when larger parties come it’s custom that the group supply their additional needs. This is true for paper towels, etc., as well. Your stay has prompted us to note on our site that pets are not allowed on furniture without a sheet or towel. Our cleaning service charged us extra for the extra time in getting fur off the couches. We did not charge you for this or mention it, as we do not normally have this issue with our guests. We appreciate your feedback and hope your stay was enjoyable after you found the house and stayed a few days. Safe travels.

We’re from Lubbock! Years ago my sister said, "Why don't you do a vacation rental?" And that was the beginning of our story. We were the first ones in Lubbock! We added houses and kept it going. We love biking, hiking, skiing, reading books, walking, and traveling. Mostly, we love providing a wonderful place to stay that makes your time in Lubbock special. We hope you enjoy this home as much as we do!

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

Location. Location. Location. What's not to like being 1.5 miles from Texas Tech, 1 miles from LCU, within walking distance of a large park with playground and walking path? Shopping is close, concert halls are close, sport centers are close, it's a perfect location. And oh, we also live close by and love this neighborhood!

Once inside, the uniqueness of the property shifts from its location to its intentional layout. The heart of the home is an open-concept living space that solves the common problem of "vacation isolation," where the cook is trapped in the kitchen while the rest of the group congregates in the living room. Here, the floor plan encourages simultaneous connection. The seamless flow between the fully equipped kitchen, the dining area, and the living room means that dinner preparation becomes a social event. You can sear a meal on the stove, keep a conversation going with guests in the lounge, and keep an eye on the television—all without ever leaving the circle of interaction.

This connectivity extends from the interior to the exterior. The transition to the large backyard is designed for peace of mind. One of the most unique aspects of the home's layout is the ability for parents to maintain a visual connection with their children playing outside while remaining comfortably inside the home. This allows for a rare balance: children have the freedom to explore the backyard and play games, while the adults can enjoy uninterrupted conversation and relaxation, knowing the kids are safe and within sight.

For those seeking a retreat within the retreat, the oversized master bedroom serves as a private sanctuary. While the rest of the home is designed for togetherness, the master suite provides the necessary scale for parents to unwind in total comfort, offering a sense of luxury and space that is often missing in short-term rentals.

この宿泊施設の特徴

What truly sets this property apart from the standard vacation rental is the rare combination of a strategic, high-access location and a thoughtful floor plan designed specifically for the dynamics of modern family travel. While many rentals offer a place to sleep, this home offers a cohesive environment where the architecture of the house and the geography of the neighborhood work together to create a stress-free vacation experience.

The most immediate advantage is the property's relationship with its surroundings. Being situated just down the street from Higginbotham Park transforms the home from a simple lodging option into a lifestyle destination. For families, this removes the typical "vacation friction" of packing up the car and driving to find entertainment. Instead, the park acts as a natural extension of the backyard. Whether it is a morning jog on the walking paths, a quiet afternoon of fishing, or letting the children burn off energy on the playground, the proximity to nature and recreation is an invaluable luxury. This is complemented by the home's position as a hub for Lubbock’s top attractions; being mere minutes from Texas Tech and Lubbock Christian University makes it an ideal sanctuary for visiting parents and alumni who want the convenience of the city without sacrificing the peace of a residential neighborhood.

Finally, the home is unique because it understands the "small things" that make a stay memorable. From the basketball goal on the driveway and a curated selection of board games for rainy afternoons to the pet-friendly policy and the high-end Weber grill, every detail is aimed at creating a "home away from home." It isn't just a house in Lubbock; it is a carefully curated space where the layout promotes family bonding and the location provides effortless access to the best the city has to offer.
We hope you love it as much as we do.
