Escape to Birez Cabin—your off-grid retreat surrounded by 40 acres of forest. Perfect for solo travelers, couples, or friends, this cozy cabin features a comfy loft bed, kitchenette, and fire pit. Guests love the treetop views, peaceful trails, and starry nights by the fire. With no Wi-Fi or cell service, it’s the perfect place to truly unplug and slow down. Hike, grill, relax—nature takes the lead here.

We are not available on site, but can be called for any questions or emergencies. There is very limited cell reception in the area, so you may have to leave the location to contact us. You can get cell reception at the front gate, but no wifi.

There are 3 other bunkies close by which you can see from Birez Cabin (through the trees).

You still have lots of privacy, but you may see or hear other guests walking down the road during your stay.

You will have access to the Tiny Home and fire pit location with the surrounding outdoor space and parking. You are free to enjoy the trails, but ask that you refrain from entering the farm fields or barns nearby.

Birez Cabin invites you to disconnect from the hustle and reconnect with nature. With no cell service, it's the ideal spot to truly unwind.​ The cabin is fully insulated so you can enjoy anytime of year!

Sleeping Arrangements: There is 1 queen-size bed and 1 double bed in the loft for sleeping, which is accessible by stairs. You will melt into the comfy beds and enjoy waking up to views of the treetops! The sofa also pulls out with a twin-size mattress.

Kitchenette: Equipped with a small fridge with freezer, bar-top seating for two, sink, and basic utensils, gives you just enough to prepare light meals. A BBQ and picnic table outside are perfect for enjoying your food al fresco. Don’t forget to bring charcoal!

Bathroom: Shared facilities include a shower with warm and cold water, a sink, and a toilet.​

Outdoor Amenities: Spend your days exploring the forest trails and your evenings under the stars. The gazebo, picnic table, and fire pit create a peaceful outdoor setting to relax and recharge. Firewood is provided. The listing features a water fountain.

Access & Parking: During spring to fall, you can drive directly to the cabin unless your vehicle has low clearance. In winter, the road may not be plowed; a 4x4 vehicle is recommended, or you may need to park at the gate and walk in (approximately 4-5 minutes).

Pet-Friendly: Dogs are welcome! Please ensure they don't wander to far if guests are at other bunkies and clean up after them if they leave any waste in common areas.​

Explore the Land: Feel free to wander the expansive property. While it's large, it's bounded by roads, so you won't get lost for long. If you're new to forest exploration, start with shorter walks to familiarize yourself with the area.

We like to keep things clear and upfront so you can feel 100% confident about what to expect. Here are a few helpful things to know before your stay:

Washroom & Shower: A shared washroom with warm/cold shower, toilet, and outdoor well-access tap is nearby and easy to access.

Water & Electricity: There’s a tap on-site for general use (well water, not filtered). The sink in the bunkie has cold unfiltered well water. There is no "filtered" drinking water on-site—please bring your own. The bunkie is equipped with solar-powered lighting and basic power.

Wi-Fi & Cell Service: There is no Wi-Fi and very limited or no cell service. Plan to unplug and enjoy the quiet.

Garbage: There are no large garbage bins and no roadside pickup. Please be prepared to bring your garbage to the dump during your stay, or you will need to bring it home with you to dispose of it. If any garbage is left behind, a $75.00 cleanup, transfer, and dump fee will be charged.

Temperature & Seasons: The bunkie is available year-round and is insulated. If you are coming in winter or intermit weather, we are assuming you "know what you're in for" and will pack and dress appropriately to be in the bush. In winter, the road may not be plowed and could require a short walk in. Bring extra blankets for chilly nights.

Guest Verification: To protect our home and stay aligned with short-term rental regulations, we use an independent verification process for all guests. Please note: If you are booking outside of Airbnb, before your booking begins, you will need to verify your details with us to complete your reservation. If you are not booking with Airbnb you will be contacted via email and/or text to complete the verification. You will also be given the choice between paying a refundable deposit or buying a non-refundable damage waiver. 

Garbage: There are no large garbage bins and no roadside pickup. Please be prepared to bring your garbage to the dump during your stay, or you will need to bring it home with you to dispose of it. If any garbage is left behind, a $75.00 cleanup, transfer, and dump fee will be charged.
