Elk View is a gorgeous, secluded riverside home nestled in 17 private acres with 600 feet of shoreline and direct access to The Elk River. The river is a great getaway for fishing, rafting/kayaking, or just enjoying nature! Take in the views from the spacious patio with lounge seating, a dining table, grill, and a fire pit. At home, enjoy luxury amenities for up to 6 guests, our 2-bedroom, 3-bathroom newly built home that has a fully stocked kitchen and cozy living room.

Escape to Elk View for natural getaway! With direct access to the Elk River your crew will love spending the day out by the water fishing or swimming! Take in the peaceful, natural scenery from the HUGE lifted porch with lounge seating and a dining table. Under the house you'll find our grill and gas fire pit to end the day with some s'mores. When you come back from the water, there is an outdoor shower and a bathroom on the lower level to wash off.
Inside, our newly built home offers an open concept living room and kitchen with huge windows! The living area has cozy seating, board games, and a Smart TV. The kitchen is fully stocked for a home cooked meal or just a great cup of coffee.
When it is time to turn in for the night, choose one of our 2 bedrooms:
(1) The Primary bedroom features a King-size bed, dresser, closet and en suite bathroom.
(2) Our second bedroom has two Queen-size beds, desk area, and nearby bathroom.
Guest Access:
Guest Access & Amenities:
Guests will have access to the entire pictured house, all appliances, any kitchen supplies, and all amenities. We provide amenities in the bathrooms, kitchen, and laundry room with enough to get you started on your trip. We do not provide excess for more than a couple of days' worth, and guests are responsible for purchasing these items for personal use if they run out during their stay. Exterior cameras may be at the property for security purposes.
The Neighborhood:
The house is located on private, rural acreage but only a couple minutes from town.
Getting Around:
Having a car and driving is recommended.
Other Things to Note:
★ Please note that the home is located near a train track, and it can be loud when a train is passing.
★ Pay special attention to any severe weather conditions, particularly any alerts regarding floods. The cabin is situated out of the official flood zone and raised.
★ The cabin uses a private, filtered water well. However, it is advised that you drink only bottled water. Also, at times the water pressure may sputter due to the well pump but should quickly return to normal flow.
★ The cabin is on a private septic system. Please do not flush any products other than toilet paper.
★ Please be mindful of our property boundaries and do not enter outside of boundaries unless you are on the river shore.
★ We have two accesses to the Elk River, one on the northeast corner of the property and one on the northern side of the property downriver.
★ You are able to drive your vehicle on the northeast corner access, but please park your vehicle just after entering the gravel area of the river (about 300 feet from the river). Driving any further can cause damage to the river shore and you can also get your vehicle stuck.
★ You are able to drive your vehicle toward the northern access, but please park vehicle on the gravel road just before entering the tree canopy. Driving vehicles further down this road can result in damage to the property and high potential of getting your vehicle stuck.
★ All along the 600 feet of riverbank along the property line, be very alert to the steep riverbank, which can be as high as 10 feet. Distance to the bank can be deceiving and the shoreline can be unstable resulting in danger of falling.
★ Appropriate walk-in river access points are mentioned above for the northeast corner and northern accesses.
★ Water levels at the river may vary due to weather conditions.
★ Not pet-friendly.
House Rules that are strictly enforced:
- Check-in is any time after 3:00 PM.
- Parties or guest actions that result in disturbances, property damage, extensive extra cleaning, or smoking indoors will incur a fine of $1,000.
- This property is not pet-friendly. Pets discovered at the property will incur a fine of $400.
- Unauthorized checkout delays will incur a fine of $100 per hour.
- This is a non-smoking home. If you smoke in the home, you will be fined $1,000 plus the cost of any smoke remediation necessary.
