Welcome to our beautifully renovated Lake Garfield retreat in the heart of the Berkshires – just 15 minutes to Great Barrington, a short drive to skiing or a short walk to the sandy town beach. Whether you're planning a winter ski trip or a lake escape our cozy home offers the perfect base for year-round family fun.
Just minutes from top ski resorts and hiking trails, plus world-class dining, live music, art galleries, and seasonal fairs. Whether you're here for leaf-peeping in the fall, skiing in the winter, or lakeside adventures in the summer, our home is your ideal 4-season getaway. There's so much to do in this area — from charming local shops and great restaurants to outlet malls, art galleries, and world-class music, theater, and dance performances. Whether you're here for nature, culture, or a bit of both, the Berkshires truly offers something for everyone.
This serene, 3-level home comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests:
Main Level: Soaring vaulted ceilings, skylights, and an open-concept great room with a classic wood-burning stove. The fully equipped chef’s kitchen features an oversized island – perfect for cooking and entertaining. Step onto the wraparound deck to enjoy lake views, a gas grill, and dining under the stars. The main level also includes a primary suite with ensuite bath.
Upper Level: Spacious loft ideal for reading or playtime, plus a second primary bedroom and a bunk room, all sharing a full bath.
Lower Level: A private, walk-out den/TV room/workout space with a pull out queen sofa bed. This level also offers direct access to the hot tub and patio – a perfect spot to unwind after a day on the lake or slopes.

* The town beach with sandy shoreline, lifeguard, and boat launch
* 2 kayaks available for guest use, stored on the town’s lakeside kayak racks — perfect for paddling and exploring Lake Garfield from spring through fall

Our neighborhood is peaceful, friendly, and surrounded by nature. In the winter, the stillness of the lake, easy access to nearby ski mountains and snow shoe hikes make it feel like a true retreat. It’s a place where you can slow down, breathe fresh air, and enjoy the best of the Berkshires. In the summer, it is just a short walk from the house to beautiful Lake Garfield with its sandy town beach, lifeguarded swimming area, and boat launch. We love starting the day with a quiet paddle in a kayak or taking an evening stroll through the quiet streets lined with trees and gardens. Fall is especially stunning — the foliage is absolutely breathtaking.
