Rural and Charming 2bedroom Cottage near Hampden-Sydney and Longwood

NEW ONLINE LISTING: Owned by Hampden-Sydney College, there are five Cottages at The Manor Golf Course. With spacious verandas overlooking beautiful views of the rolling hills of a 1,000 acre estate, the Cottages are just minutes away from Longwood University, Hampden-Sydney College, and the town of Farmville.

Located in the historic heart of Prince Edward County in south central Virginia, The Cottages are just an hour's drive or less from Charlottesville, Richmond and Lynchburg.

Each cottage rents separately and is made up of two suites. One suite includes living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom and bath, and the other suite includes a kitchenette, bedroom and bath.

A two-night minimum is required and a fourteen-night maximum is enforced. Currently accepting reservations up to six months in advance. Our turn-days are Monday – Friday, we do not turn units on Saturday or Sunday.

Exterior security camera on property. Furniture and bedding updates occurring in Summer 2025, with improvements to continue into Summer 2026.

Animals are strictly prohibited in Cottage 108, even as visitors. We welcome animal guests in Cottage 102, 104, and 106.

Hosting and/or cleaning fees are included in our base price unless damages warrant a post-stay fee which will be processed as applicable.
Office hours are Mon–Fri 9am–4pm. After hours non-emergencies should be called into Campus Police at xxx-xxx-xxxx, this includes maintenance issues.

We had a great family stay at The Manor Cottages. The cottage was very quiet, clean, and well maintained. The sheets and towels were extremely crisp and clean, and the morning and evening scenery was absolutely beautiful.We loved having a full kitchen with all the utensils needed—just be careful loading the dishwasher, as the glass cups are delicate. Since the cottages are in a rural area, expect a few creepy crawlers.A few minor disappointments: the extra DirecTV boxes in the bedrooms were not hooked up, the living room TV remote did not control the volume, the fireplace did not work, and a smart TV option would have been nice.Being right on the golf course was an exceptional feature, especially since my husband loves golfing. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back in the summer. Thank you to the owners and staff for keeping this place so nice.
