French château-inspired lakefront home on Lake Granbury with a private pool, elevated covered veranda, oversized hot tub, dock, and kayaks. Sleeps up to 20 guests.
Between the home and the lake, a private pool with sun loungers creates a dedicated space for daytime gathering. Above it, the covered veranda becomes the center of the experience, with an oversized hot tub, lounge seating, dining tables, and an unexpected direct view over the water.
Below, a cantilevered dock, kayaks, a grill at the water’s edge, and a lakeside fire pit create an outdoor flow that groups move through all day—and rarely want to leave.
Inside, the Kensington Primary Suite is anchored by a one-of-a-kind vintage round king bed. The West Palm Bunk Room accommodates up to 14 guests in one large communal space with two king beds, four twin beds, three trundles, a queen sleeper sofa, its own living area, and direct pool access. The remaining two private bedrooms each provide a queen bed.
The interiors are layered with Round Top antiques and collected pieces that feel intentional rather than decorated.
This is a home designed to keep people together without forcing it.

We are Jenna and Ty, founders of Life of the Modern Nomads, a collection of design-forward vacation homes in Fort Worth and on Lake Granbury.
Ty spent more than 20 years building luxury custom homes before bringing that experience into hospitality. Jenna is a designer, entrepreneur, and founder of Winton and Waits, a boutique lifestyle brand with locations in Fort Worth and Aledo. Together, we personally develop, design, operate, and host every home in our collection.
Having lived and worked in the Fort Worth and Granbury area for nearly 30 years, we know this region deeply. We are local, hands-on owners, not distant investors managing properties from behind a computer- and we take personal pride in caring for our homes and the guests who stay in them.
Our backgrounds in custom home building, design, and retail shape every part of the experience. The layout matters. The materials matter. Most importantly, the way a home makes you feel from the moment you arrive matters. Each property is created with its own personality, but all share the same commitment to thoughtful design, genuine hospitality, and spaces that bring people together.
We are glad you found us and look forward to welcoming you.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由
The Lake Château was inspired by a stay in San Miguel de Allende that changed the way we think about what a home can do for the people gathered inside it.
We wanted to recreate that feeling on Lake Granbury- a place where shared meals last longer, conversations happen naturally, and people can enjoy being together without feeling crowded or forced.
That idea shaped every part of The Lake Château.
この宿泊施設の特徴
The Lake Château’s centerpiece is its covered veranda elevated directly over the water, furnished with an oversized hot tub, lounge seating, and dining tables overlooking Lake Granbury. It creates a memorable setting for shared meals, long conversations, and evenings by the water.
Between the veranda and the home, a private pool with sun loungers provides a dedicated daytime gathering space. A cantilevered dock with a boat slip offers lake access for kayaks and small watercraft. A waterfront grill and lakeside fire pit complete an outdoor environment designed to keep groups together from morning through evening.
The West Palm Bunk Room accommodates up to 14 guests in one large communal space with multiple beds, a queen sleeper sofa, its own living area, TV, and direct pool access. The Kensington Primary Suite features a one-of-a-kind vintage round king bed. Together with two additional bedrooms, the home accommodates up to 20 registered guests across four distinctive sleeping spaces.
Throughout the home, Round Top antiques and collected pieces give each room a sense of history and personality. The result is a home that balances communal energy with distinctive private spaces.
Historic Granbury Square is approximately 10 minutes away, and Warren’s Backyard is approximately 2 minutes from the property.
The Lake Château is also available as part of La Maison du Lac, a four-home private lakefront collection on the same street accommodating up to 50+ guests. The neighboring three-home La Vie Lake Retreat accommodates up to 35+ guests and does not include The Lake Château.
