Seems like a work in progress. Probably at one time this was a jewel in a very upscale neighborhood. Looks like it was recently renovated. Unfortunately the renovation was quite haphazard, using some pretty strange materials not in keeping with the basic architecture. That aside, almost everything worked well and our stay was quite comfortable. One exception was that almost all of the bedside electrical outlets were not connected, but we didn’t discover this was a theme throughout the house until the end of our stay. There were a few other minor problems, but the host was extremely responsive when we called. The neighbors seemed pretty unhappy to have a rental in their upscale neighborhood and while I wouldn’t call them hostile, their displeasure was obvious.

Overall, this property was able to accommodate our large group of groomsmen and their 1’s for my wedding weekend. However, there were several issues that arose during our stay:- The snacks were all expired in 2025 and needed to be thrown out after realizing they were stale and some of the candy had been eaten by suspected mice - The basement flooded which ended up soaking one of my groomsman’s bag - The upstairs bathroom shower curtain was stained - We ended up finding mice dropping on the chairs in the dining roomIf these issues are able to be resolved, then the property would be a great fit. The host was extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early and check out late as well as being extremely responsive to us which we appreciated!

What started out as a good stay and experience did not end well. Our family was in town for our daughters wedding. When we booked the location we requested a late check out on Sunday. We were approved to check out late afternoon on Sunday. While we were all enjoying some time on the outside deck the owner began speaking to us over the ring camera saying we had overstayed the check out time. First, we felt very uncomfortable being contacted like that. The owner had my cell number and could have called me, but chose to invade our families privacy over the ring camera. Second, he would not acknowlege that he approved the late check out, even though I sent him a screen shot of our conversation over VRBO messages. Needless to say, as soon as we knew we were being watched we were out of there. It was a very uncomfortable situation. The owner has sent me a bill for an extra night stay. Owners need to honor the agreements made with their renters and need to stay off the ring cameras!
