Hiking trails abound, with local Rattlesnake Mountain (Mount Wantastiquet) an 11-minute drive. Visit Walker Farm Stand, 5 minutes from the house, to buy fresh produce, flowers, and baked goods, or drive a bit further up the road to Harlow's farm to pick your own fresh strawberries or blueberries. Leave the car in the driveway and take a walk from the house up the old dirt road to the Elysian Hills Christmas tree farm for a stunning view of Vermont's unique beauty. From here, explore the various public trails abutting the property.

In fall, enjoy the stunning foliage while you sip coffee from the front porch. Take a short drive up nearby Kipling Road to historic Scott's farm for some fresh apples and baked goods. Walk the woodland trails and dirt roads, or hike the surrounding mountain trails -- the foliage is second to none.

In winter, enjoy some quiet time in the cozy living room, or go for a snowy walk up the hill. Go into town and explore antique shops, bookstores, coffeeshops, restaurants, and bars, or take in a movie at the historic Latchis Theater. Go sledding or ice skating at Brattleboro's Living Memorial Park or go skiing at one of several nearby ski areas. Mt.
