Only a few miles west of Franklin & around the corner from Parker Meadows recreational park, this 2200 sq. ft. home is near trailheads for both the Appalachian Trail and the Bartram Trail!! The charming town of Franklin, NC, which has modern shops and grocery stores as well as the historic downtown with antique shops, art galleries, a bookshop, two museums, and an outdoors shop makes for a fun outing or two. Siler Bald and Wayah Bald are nearby. Franklin also boasts a lovely 5 mile long greenway along the Little Tennessee River, if you are looking for a flatter venue to walk or run on while visiting. We are 30 minutes from the towns of Highlands to the east, Dillsboro/Sylva to the north, and Hayesville to the west. We are about a 45 minute drive to Great Smoky Mountain National Park. This is a fabulous place to come visit and enjoy our scenic beauty!!
The fully equipped kitchen is large with ample counter space, and is open to the dining and living room, which has a wonderful gas fireplace. There is no carpet; only hard surface floors. The bath features two sinks and walk in shower. Large windows and a glass door to the deck are fabulous for seeing the deer in the mornings and enjoying the surrounding view of the tree tops, over the hollow below, and towards other hills. The upstairs bedroom is large with a walk in closet.
Downstairs features a new kitchenette, 2 bedrooms (one with queen sized bed, the other with 2 twin beds), a large living area with gas fireplace, large bathroom with 2 sinks & tub/shower, and the laundry room.
This home is available as a 1 BR, 1 BA with access to the laundry OR as a 3 BR, 2 BA,which is the entire house. This listing is for the entire house.

Friendly neighbors but space to spread out, this home is very accessible throughout the year. Enjoy spaciousness, two kitchens, two living areas making the home perfect for multi generational visitors. Great views of tree tops and hills from both sides of the house. LOVE being within walking distance of fabulous Parker Meadows! So close to so much hiking and Franklin too, which is awesome!
