Welcome to the Ponderosa Main Lodge—a serene, three-story mountain getaway nestled in the heart of the 1.6 million acre Santa Fe National Forest, surrounded by towering pines and whispering aspens. This fully updated 6-bedroom, 4-bathroom lodge is perfect for families, reunions, or groups seeking a peaceful retreat in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
Enjoy the charm of rustic elegance with spacious living areas, wood-burning fireplaces, and plenty of natural light. The main floor features a cozy living room, dining area, fully stocked kitchen, and a master suite. The top floor offers two large bedrooms with a shared bathroom. The ground floor includes two private guest rooms (Bear Den & Elk Cove), a shared lounge, and a sixth bedroom with a mini fridge and sink. All rooms are thoughtfully appointed for your comfort.
Step outside to explore hiking trails, the nearby Pecos River, and our crystal-clear trout pond. While you're tucked away in nature, you’ll still have access to high-speed Wi-Fi and modern conveniences.

Nestled in the heart of the 1.6 million-acre Santa Fe National Forest, Pecos BNB offers a luxurious yet rustic retreat for travelers seeking both adventure and relaxation. Located at 2444 NM HWY 63, Terrero, NM 87573, our family-owned and operated bed and breakfast is dedicated to providing guests with a one-of-a-kind wilderness experience. Pecos BNB features a variety of accommodations to suit different preferences. Our main cabin, designed in a charming Lincoln log style, boasts three stories with a wrap-around deck overlooking a lush green commons area and a serene lily pond. Guests can choose from rooms like the Bear Cave Room, our largest room in the main cabin, offering a comfortable king bed, whirlpool tub, and access to common areas. You can also book the top two floors of the cabin, which includes 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen and living area.
