Stunning views from the property. Nice cabin with good kitchen. The kids loved the swimming pool. Plenty of wildlife. Close to Yosemite.

Martin was such a great host! We had everything we needed, and the laundry and pool were the cherry on top. I highly recommend staying on the property as it was perfect for a trip to Yosemite and had everything we needed! Smoky the cat was also an amazing greeter and such a sweet surprise!

Quiet, in middle of nature. Good price/quality ratio for visiting Yosemite, though one-hour drive distant. 15mn from gas station and grocery stores (Mariposa) make the place convenient for tourism. A good option when it comes to visit Yosemite at reasonable price.

Beautiful property in a very quiet and peaceful location.

Beautiful property, very peaceful and quiet. Great for star gazing and convenienty located when visiting Yosemite park (45 minute drive). Martin is a wonderful host and is very knowledgable about the area.

Amazing cottage with an amazing host

We enjoyed every minute of our stay in Martin' s cottage. It's really clean, nicely decorated and very comfortable. Martin was such a friendly host who knows everything about the area and its history.

Beautiful accommodations

Lovely place to stay near Yosemite. Martin was an excellent host and the house had everything we needed for our two night stay. Views are beautiful and the house isn’t too far outside town so it was easy to head out for dinner or supplies. Would absolutely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable. We would to have been able to walk around more grass wasn't mowed. The beds were comfortable the kitchen was well stocked.

Quiet and peaceful

My husband, adult grandson, and I spent a couple of nights here and it was a convenient location for sightseeing in Yosemite. It was very quiet and peaceful and we especially enjoyed sitting on the patio in the mornings and evenings while taking in the lovely views.

The place was nicer than expected. The flat is 30 miles but that’s around an hour from Yosemite gates with the windy roads and going through the mountain pass. It is located between two of the gates. There is a town 15-20 minutes away to stock up on groceries.We enjoyed the pool in the afternoons and evenings. We even saw a mama deer and her baby from the swimming pool.

Peaceful

The location was nice and quiet. The deer next to the pond in the morning was a special bonus. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept really well, which is saying a lot considering my bed at home is a sleep number :-D.

Great place for a quiet getaway

The cottage is set on a hill with a great view. It’s in a very peaceful and quiet setting, out of sight and out of earshot from the main road. It was spotlessly clean and it contained all of the comforts of home. The owner lives close by and was very pleasant and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Yosemite Hikers

This place is very quiet and very clean. It’s perfect for 3 to 4 people. Very close to Yosemite and the drive there is simple and beautiful. Martin is a great host and very sweet. It was nice getting to know him.

Initially worried due to minimal instructions on how to checkin. But the host lives next door with family so was there to greet us. Everything is as advertised. Bonus outdoor cat “Smokey” was awesome. She followed us on a local hike and purred on my lap at every opportunity.
Exploring the pond. Can you spot Smokey?
This stick was already on the patio table. Smokey taught me how to play with it.

We Enjoyed Our Wonderful Short Stay!

Home is completely new, well equipped and we thoroughly enjoyed our short visit to Mariposa! The City of Mariposa is small but very quaint, we had a wonderful dinner at Savoury's a local restaurant in town. People are very welcoming and so very kind. We were just about 45-60 minutes from Yosemite and the views this time of year were completely breathtaking! Martin was a super host and we would definitely stay again if we come back to Yosemite. Thanks for a great visit!

Clean, newer mini home; host lives on property and he is very pleasant. Happy to have two bedrooms, washer and dryer, fire pit, even an outdoor table with umbrella and chairs. Lots of wildlife to enjoy such as numerous deer, various birds.We saw the California Quails and an Acorn Woodpecker up close. The resident kittycat was very affectionate and fun to play with. 15 minutes from the town of Mariposa, 30 minutes from Oakhurst.

Great stay near Yosemite

Property was conveniently located to Yosemite and in a quiet and pretty area. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The barbecue grill was really nice! The AC kept the main living area cool when it was on. I had not experienced the restrictions on using laundry at only certain times during stays at other California properties but we made it work and I was glad to have a laundry facility. Our family enjoyed being closed to Yosemite.
