This was a beautiful home in a very quiet neighborhood. Very clean with all the amenities of home. We will try to stay here again when we're in NC.

Pineville area stay

Outstanding property near pinehurst resort and other golf courses. Super clean and comfortable stay. Very quiet area! Highly recommended if you’re looking for a good place to stay in the area.

I was a little disappointed with everything by the end of the visit. We had originally booked specifically to use the outdoor space for a birthday celebration. Between the cleanliness, lack of privacy and issues with both tvs and no grill we spent minimal time at the home and would have booked closer to town. - I understand the home is pet friendly but the amount of pet hair still in the “clean” home was large. - There was pet hair in both beds, couch, baseboards, and tables surfaces. Some spaces were clear they had not been cleaned in some time. - No way to create privacy in the main living space. We felt uncomfortable as there were multiple occasions the neighbors behind the home were looking down at us either on the patio or inside the home. There were no curtains to create privacy. In addition to the amount of cameras around the home created no sense of privacy or security. - We could not close the primary bathroom all the way. Which look like a known issue considering the string placed to hook the door. - Cleaning was clearly not finished before we arrived. towels in dryer( which I had to put away before using) soap watered down in bathroom because supplies were low. Refrigerator had not been wiped and cleaned. Utensils were dirty. Dirty sponge by the sink. And lots of pet hair in beds, washer, couch, table, baseboards through out the home.I was able to bring to the attention of the host. He was quick respond, and gave a partial refund for our cleaning fee.

We have been renting this home for years. Prior to this review we have never received anything other than a 10/10. And on the “other” platform we are a Super Host as one of the top rated rentals in the area. A FULL, not partial refund was given for complaints about cleaning. When we checked the home ourselves afterwards instead of sending the cleaners, many of these complaints do not add up. Comments on TVs not working (we have a new 3 thousand dollar living room TV that was working perfectly fine). We have exterior security cameras which do not face the home for privacy purposes and are there for our protection of the property when the home is empty. As nearly all short term rentals have exterior cameras. Our neighbors are unbelievably friendly people who mind their own business. Again, for years I’ve never heard of such comments. This is an extremely disappointing review to read as a full refund was given for cleaning that was not corroborated. We take a lot of pride in this home as it was built by ourselves. I hope that future guests can see past this review as it not indicative of the stay or the stays of hundreds of other guests across platforms.

Very nice hideaway

We visited for a family event and had a wonderful stay. The home is absolutely beautiful, and both the house and surrounding property are impeccably maintained. The only minor drawback is that the back of the home is quite open to neighboring properties, but we had no issues at all during our stay.This is a lovely spot—perfect for a small family or couple looking to relax. The town of Carthage is charming, and our dog especially enjoyed the local park and strolling through the quaint downtown area.Joe was a fantastic host—easy to communicate with and proactive in checking in to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying our time. Thank you for a great stay! Looks foward to potential future visits.

Excellent home with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The house was spotless, beautifully decorated with a modern style, and truly felt like a relaxing retreat. My family thoroughly enjoyed our 8 night stay which actually felt too short. The beds were very comfortable, the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, and communication with the host was excellent throughout. We would definitely stay here again.
