County Comfort is perfect, very clean, they have thought of every detail. The location is kind of out of the way and perfect for a quiet setting. We enjoyed a fire, we played games on the dining table. The beds are super comfortable. We already booked again for next year! Love this place.

Adorable little property! We had a great time here. Short drive to town, market stands, apple picking, and lots of cute stuff but feels like you’re tucked away in the countryside. House was very clean. The only changes I would make are that there is NOTHING in the kitchen in terms of basics like oil, salt, pepper, etc. Adding those and basic toiletries like shampoo and soap for the bathrooms would be a welcome touch. The checkout list was also a little involved. All in all though, we had a great time here and really enjoyed the property! The goat next door is also really cute.

We loved our family vacation to Door County in this lovely home. Our kids routinely asked if we could live in the house forever! The big side yard was great for running around before/after s'mores and stargazing. There was a very pregnant goat next door that also brought a lot of joy to the visit. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was great - the only downside is that you're a bit of a drive from some of the centrally located attractions in Door County. We would still come back!

10/10. Would stay again.Beautiful little cottage, and very comfortable. Each room has its own temperature control, which is nice in the summer. Great wifi connection and a smart TV. Within driving distance of everything we wanted to do. The fire pit was nice. Great amenities. Very clean. The hosts were very welcoming and sweet and answered all our questions.

Peaceful, off the beaten path, country road

We come here every year and love it. We ride bikes down to Europe Lake. The home is perfect and has 2 bathrooms, which is a plus!

Northern Door County Oasis

My wife and I really enjoyed our recent stay near Ellison Bay. The house and property were very spacious. The house was very clean, comfortable, and private. We were a bit surprised by the amount of drive by traffic as the location is off the main road, but we didn’t find it to be distracting or bothersome. Overall, an excellent place to stay that is plenty close to all the areas of interest in northern Door County. We would definitely stay here again.

Family Memories

This home is well cared for and orderly. All the bedrooms were cozy, including the baby nook with a crib and rocking chair. These owners stop at nothing to provide quality within their home. We celebrated a family birthday and stayed 3 nights. We enjoyed visiting the friendly goat at the farm next door.I will definitely stay again! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Connecting with College Friends in a Cozy Home

We were five college friends from four states getting together for a weekend to catch up and make new memories. The location was great where we were close to towns but had plenty of privacy. A bummer we couldn't use the outside fire pit because of a burn ban but the owners appropriately let us know ahead of time. Great space for everyone with clear directions on cleaning/labels placed around the house. Our only feedback was they requested towels be washed/dried before we left and because we were leaving early in the morning, we washed/dried the towels the night before and some people had to adjust their showering/morning routine because of it. Truly a lovely home that was cozy, comfortable and accessible to all door county has to offer.

Love the large yard

We enjoyed our stay here. It is quiet and peaceful. Our grandson loved playing in the yard. Our only concern was before booking this house, we specifically asked if the linens and towels were washed in hypoallergenic detergents and were told yes. We found Tide detergent above the washer and dryer. Please consider some of your guests may have skin sensitivities.

Peaceful and so Comfortable

Everything was clean and neat as could be. The outdoor areas were so enjoyable from the front porch to the fire ring! It was so wonderful to be close to Europe Bay Beach and the night sky was majestic.

My husband and I met in Sister Bay in 1996. We married in 1999 and feel very blessed to live and raise our family in Door County.
Along with raising our family and taking care of this rental, we also own and operate Bay Battery & Towing, Inc.

We purchased this quiet little house in 2002 and completely gutted and remodeled it over the span of the next 2 years.
We raised our 4 children in this house until purchasing my in-laws house in Sister Bay in 2011. After renting year round to a few different renters, in October of 2016 we decided to try renting the house out as a Vacation Rental By Owner.
Over that winter and spring, we repainted the interior and exterior and enjoyed hunting for bargains to completely furnish the house.
A few of our favorite things about this house include listening to nature with a cup of coffee on the covered front porch in the morning, enjoying stargazing in the dark night sky by the fire-pit at night and having individual thermostats to control the temperature in each of the rooms for those cooler evenings.
We hope that you will come and join us at our little slice of Ellison Bay heaven that we call Country Comfort in beautiful Door County, Wisconsin!

This house has hardwood floors throughout for those carpet suffering allergy haters. It is spray foam insulated for cooler summers and warmer winters. Each room has it's own thermostat so that everyone can find their own comfort level. There are more than enough outlets to plug all of your electronics into and all of our electrical is in conduit just like a commercial building would have. We have plenty of unobstructed views of the night sky from our one and a half acre lot. Close to Highway 42, Europe Lake and Newport State Park & beach.
