White-Tail Nook — Cozy Cabin Retreat in the Serene Blue Ridge Mountains

Perfectly nestled in nature yet just a short drive to the area's best attractions — you're less than 10 miles from the beloved Mercier Orchards and the vibrant shops and restaurants of downtown Blue Ridge.
Sip your morning coffee on the spacious deck as you watch for white-tail deer wandering through the trees — a common and magical sight here at the Nook. Our cabin is furnished with full size beds in each of the main level bedrooms. The loft area is equipped with two twin size beds, and even boasts an Xbox gaming console for the younger ones to enjoy. Keep refreshed with our on-site washer and dryer and spacious bathtub and shower.
Adventure awaits with easy access to Cherokee National Forest, the Ocoee River, and endless outdoor activities like fishing, whitewater rafting, kayaking, and hiking. Whether you’re looking for an action-packed getaway or a cozy weekend curled up by the fire, White-Tail Nook offers the best of both worlds.

Harvest on Main

- Excellent spot to treat yourself! You can't go wrong with any of the entrees, but my favorites are the samplers and the salmon!
Twisted Tomato

- This spot is only a few minutes away in McCaysville and offers some of the best pizza, with a great view right on the Ocoee River!
Hikes & Outdoor Activities:
Toccoa River Canoe Trail
Location: The launch is at Deep Hole Recreation Area, a USFS campground located in the east/southeast portion of the district just off a paved highway, GA Hwy. 60 south of Blue Ridge, GA and north of Suches, GA.
Aska Adventure Area
Location: The main trailhead location is at Deep Gap, a short 15-minute drive from the Welcome Center. Three other trailheads are at Stanley Gap, Shady Falls Road, and on Forest Road 711 by way of Campbell Camp Road. Bulletin boards at trailheads show maps of the area, and the trail system.
Cherokee National Forest
Supervisor's Office Location: 2800 N. Ocoee Street, Cleveland, TN 37312
- This beautiful spot is within a 30 min drive of the cabin. The Cherokee National Forest is the largest tract of public land in Tennessee spanning more than 660,000 acres in the Southern Appalachian Mountains. The forest is separated into northern and southern sections by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and adjoins other national forests in Virginia, North Carolina, and Georgia. The forest is home to more than 700 miles of trails including the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, seven whitewater rivers, numerous waterfalls, miles of scenic byways, and a variety of developed campgrounds and day-use facilities that offer a wide range of outdoor recreation opportunities.
Chattahoochee National Forest
- This is also located within 30 min of the cabin. The Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests have 37 developed recreation areas, 500 developed campsites, 200 picnic sites, 6 swim beaches and 530 miles of trails. There are more than 500 wildlife and fish species in the forest. Almost 100 percent of cold water stream fishing on public lands occurs within the Chattahoochee national forest.

From the tractor tours given throughout the year at Mercier, you can spot mountains in Tennessee, North Carolina, and sweet Georgia from a single point! Make sure you grab some cider and fresh baked goods, you won't regret it!
