The website description for this cabin is accurate and it’s conveniently located very close to the entrance to Mammoth Caves National Park. The cabin was very clean. Nestled in a wooded setting, we didn’t encounter any bugs observed during our October 2026 visit. Overall the cabin is rustic in appearance and well furnished. The bed, located in the loft was clean and comfortable. To access the loft, you’ll use a stairway with an artistic array of twisted branches that’s truly a work of art. Kitchen appliances are consistent with the rustic appearance throughout the cabin. This is especially true for the antique stove/oven, which we didn’t use. A small microwave was available, but no dishwasher. The kitchen included a Mr. Coffee brand coffee maker. We didn’t cook any meals during our stay. If you plan to make meals on a daily basis, be aware this is not a modern kitchen and space is limited. As a minor suggestion: The cabin is full of artistic antiques on the shelves and walls. This limited usable space for our personal belongings, which was okay for our 2-night stay. Adding some hooks and making some shelving space available, would be helpful for longer stays. The home is situated on spacious, well-lighted grounds. If the weather is nice, you would likely enjoy the patio and fire pit.Due to the change in seasons, we encountered a couple of issues that required the owner to help resolve. He was very responsive to our request.
