This cozy one bedroom Craftsman cottage sits in a garden setting along with art galleries and studios that are waiting to be explored. The Heron has one bedroom and one bathroom plus a hide-a-bed in the living room. In your spare time, walk down and enjoy quiet moments on the deck overlooking Ashland Creek. The Heron is just two blocks from downtown.

There are other cottages on this property if you are looking for more than one place. Just let us know!

Note: Abbott's Cottages is a small family business made up of 9 cottages, all within walking distance to downtown. We have been renting our cottages to tourists in Ashland for 25 years and we usually get 5 star reviews on our other booking platforms. We took a break from renting through VRBO but now we are back- just to explain when you see no reviews! Lovely Garden Atmosphere

Very peaceful and sweet garden atmosphere. Enjoyed looking in the galleries on the property.The cabin, though not new. Was clean and comfortable. Lovely deck area overlooking the creek.

The Heron is a charming one bedroom, one bathroom cottage. The kitchen is fully stocked with towels, dishes and cookware. It even has a dishwasher, although I did not use it as I was traveling solo. Nor did I use the stacking washer/dryer. The bathroom has plenty of towels, a hair dryer, soap. My only (slight) frustration was the TV. I could not find local channels. Eventually the TV lost signal altogether.I was pleasantly surprised that the cottage is located in an art gallery community and overlooks Ashland Creek. I saw mother deer with fawns a couple of times on the property.Each rental unit is allotted one parking space. As long as renters honor this rule, parking is not a problem. I prefer to walk when in town so rarely drove my car. It took me less than ten minutes to walk to OSF.
