When we checked in, the dishwasher was not working. They sent someone out to fix it, and when that proved impossible, they installed a new one. The only issue we had that was not fixable was the outdoor lighting that couldn’t be turned off and the absence of blackout curtains in the bedroom. This makes sleeping almost impossible for my husband.

Home is a bit tired. Towels were old and some had holes in them. Master bathroom needed a bathmat. There was a clump of long black hair on the wall of guest bathroom shower that cleaning people overlooked. Otherwise, house was clean. We put a glass over a large cockroach/palmetto bug in master bedroom.

The property had a wonderful pool, the weather great, and the grounds were neat and well cared for. The house was clean. A few things I noticed that would take the property from OK to Great would be to provide beach towels. There were only eight bath towels in the house and no beach/pool towels. I ended up doing a lot of laundry. Additionally, it would have been nice to have more than two beach chairs. My primary complaint is that the host did not respond to multiple messages that I sent. Moreover, we were not given the access code to the property until fifteen minutes before check-in. The day after we arrived, I received a call from the property manager asking if we needed anything. I asked for beach towels and two more beach chairs. She assured me that they would be delivered. They were not. The house was lacking in terms of things a renter would need, and it did not feel as if they cared about our experience.
