The Space:

Drawing inspiration from Frank Lloyd Wright, this custom-built dream Mid-Century Modern home by notable architect David Lloyd Kenyon, is truly a masterpiece to behold! Located on a one-acre cul-de-sac lot in McDowell Shadow Estates, one of Scottsdale's most coveted neighborhoods, this truly unique home features an open floor plan that consists of an enormous, entertainers kitchen with high-end appliances, a breakfast bar, a formal 10-seated dining room, and a sprawling living area with a wet bar and a 70' smart TV. Climb the dramatic, cantilevered staircase and find yourself in a second-floor wrap-a-round lounge that offers views of the backyard and the McDowell Mountains.



This is a custom-built masterpiece featuring classic, modern architectural influences: straight lines and simple geometric shapes that yield to overhanging eaves and clerestory windows, and vaulted roof arches in the back. Our home is intentionally designed for exceptional guest experience, luxurious comfort and unforgettable memories.



Outside, step into a spectacular oasis with a gorgeous, heated private pool and spa, outdoor shower, covered pergola, and pomegranate and grapefruit trees from one end of the yard to the other. For sleeping arrangements, this vacation rental includes four ensuite bedrooms, all of which are furnished with plush king beds. Masterpiece is meticulously designed for entertaining families and friends and is the ideal destination for privacy and relaxation.



A gourmet kitchen awaits, complete with a Keurig, Nespresso machine, and a coffee maker with grinder so you can enjoy barista-quality brews throughout your stay.

Best Family Vacation House Yet!

This was by far the best vacation rental house our family has stayed at yet! The house is large and can easily accommodate a large group. The house is well stocked, the rooms are comfortable, and the yard is amazing. I wouldn't be surprised if this house has been used for magazine photo shoots. The location is great, we were within a 25 minute drive of everywhere we wanted to go and there are plenty of restaurants and shops within a 10-15 minute drive. The neighborhood is quiet, which was perfect for our group. We had read that some guests had issues with check-in but it was totally seamless for us. The instructions were clear and everything was ready for us when we arrived. The one issue we ran into was resolved immediately with both Vacasa and the owner. As a heads up, the pool is not heated, but that didn't stop us from using it during the heat of the day, and the hot tub is a more chill hangout spot in the evening anyway. We will be booking this property again next time we're in Scottsdale.

Where do we even start? The house is spacious, cool, comfortable with every amenity that you need. The pool is gorgeous, and the pool area had everything we wanted and needed - a daybed, shade, fans, different loungers and places to eat. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Simply Amazing!

There isn't enough space to describe this home. We stayed over Labor Day weekend. The price was as perfect as the home. Very spacious, each bedroom has their own bathroom which was one of the selling points for our group. The kitchen is FULLY stocked. The owner was readily available for any concerns. Only concern we had was the air conditioner in the front bedroom. One phone call and the owner was taking care of it. Thank you very much for sharing your home with us.

Fantastic house

The listing pictures did not do this house justice. It is absolutely beautiful and so much bigger than we anticipated. The home sleeps 8 but the outdoor area had pockets of lounge chairs and conversational areas. There were plenty of umbrellas and the pool was large. The interior of the home was just as nice; beautifully and comfortably decorated. The home is convenient to great restaurants and shopping. We would wholeheartedly recommend and would like to go back. The only issue we had was with the pool cleaner not working. We contacted vacasa but it hadn’t been corrected by the time we left. But all in all, a wonderful stay!

Beautiful house, bad pool and hot tub

The house is in a great location. The house itself is very unique and nice. Everything would have been perfect except one reason we picked this home was it has a pool and hot tub. The pool was so dirty (full of leaves and dirt) we didn’t even get in it. The house directions book said the pool is cleaned each Thursday. It wasn’t. I contacted Vrbo and they said they’d take care of it but didn’t. The hot tub is heated off of propane and they had very clear instructions on how to operate it but the heater kept showing an ignition error. It would heat for a minute then shut off for several minutes then relight. So it took almost two hours to get the temperature up. But hey during that two hours it gave me time to use the pool net and clean most the leaves and grass out of the hot tub. I tried to clean stuff out of the pool but there was just so much and then dirt and such in the bottom and it’s a very large pool. My daughters didn’t want to get in it and get debris in their hair and I don’t blame them. There was also a broken window in the master bedroom that Vrbo notified me of right before we arrived and someone came by and put some plywood up over it. If the pool had been maintained or it the issue corrected after I notified Vrbo the rating would go way up. The WiFi in the house was good except in the master bedroom and bath. It just dropped off there. The house is super nice otherwise.

Lovely private property with beautiful house & outdoor area

We were a family of 7 adults and a 6 year old child. The four bedrooms worked out really well, especially the loft for our granddaughter in her parents room. The layout allowed us to move freely through the house with all the bedrooms on the first floor. The kitchen, living room and dining room were beautifully furnished and really comfortable. It was a little hard to figure out where all the light switches were! The pool and outdoor area are beautiful with various spaces to sit and relax. It was very easy to communicate with the managing agents for check in. I would recommend this house for its beauty and comfort.

Stunning house in great neighborhood.

Loved the house, very well laid out with non traditional style. Clean and maybe the best equipped kitchen in any rental house we’ve ever stayed in. Coffee bar was well stocked and had 3 different coffee makers and any flavor you could think of. Lots of nice touches everywhere. You can tell the owners care about your stay. We’d rent it again in a heartbeat.

It is 100% exactly as described and shown in the photos with a great design. Everything is very clean and tidy, kitchen fully equipped. We are delighted and will definitely be back. A Beautiful Oasis

At first glance the uniqueness of this property sets you up for the exploration of something special and it does not disappoint. The property is designed with both intimacy and group activities. Each guest room could be considered a master in size and amenities. The master suite itself was several cuts above. The pool and hot tub were a welcome respite for our late June stay. The entire residence is appointed with luxurious touches and an ample supply of utilitarian items. Perfect for a large family gathering or even a corporate retreat. I often reflect on our time there with a warm nostalgia and that is the highest recommendation I could give."

Beautiful home!!

This house is gorgeous. All of the rooms were very spacious, comfortable and the house is stocked with almost every amenity you need (they were out of laundry detergent but no biggie there). The Sonos sound system is awesome as well making sitting out by the pool very relaxing. We went during the hot season (105+) but the AC was awesome with thermostats everywhere. Nice tvs and nicely decorated. Location was easy to find and not too far from a lot of restaurants, etc. Only drawback that turned out to be not a big deal, were the bees that were all around the pool just to get water. They did not sting any of us as they were apparently honey bees but just a wee bit getting used to. i will definitely try to go back when it's not so hot but really really enjoyed the space, comfort and beauty of the setting. Management and owner were very responsive about the bees. no other issues the whole time. Wonderful!!

"Masterpiece" is accurate for this architectural wonder!

Per the owner, this property was designed by a now retired architect who studied with Frank Lloyd Wright and the beauty, functionality and attention to detail shows it! A fabulous property for a large group of all ages. There is so much to do and so much space, that you'll perfer to stay home. We had a couple active school aged kids with our group & they had no problem keeping themselves entertained. Each of the four rooms have their own bathroom, so there's a sense of privacy. There's a roomy full pool bathroom and a roomy laundry room that are very nice to have. This property is tastefully decorated without clutter. The cleanliness is great. The linen is excellent. The kitchen is VERY well appointed. We cooked daily and had every gadget imaginable at our disposal from the basics to all the extras (pastry brush, meat thermometer, plastic wrap, foil, zliplocs, every type of stemware imaginable, etc.). The two refigerators/freezers were great to have. The owners and property mgt are responsive and friendly. The neighborhood and neighbors are pleasant and quiet. The lots are massive so you don't have to worry about privacy.

Despite some communication issues (vented previously) the property was outstanding!8

The front end of the process with VRBO was easy and straight forward, Subsequent efforts to communicate with VACASA (property management group) were ridiculous. My efforts to communicate through the VRBO site were ignored completely. I was later told by a VACASA supervisor that they were not being forwarded all VRBO e-mails and apparently they were 30,000+ messages behind! I was finally able to reach a VACASA representative, two days before my arrival and was forwarded important information such as the address and entry codes. On the day of my schedule arrival, I drove to the property and tried to gain access to the house for the purpose of storing a baby crib in the garage (which had been approved by VACASA), but the gate code did not work. Eventually a VACASA representative arrived at the property and was unable to gain access to the house. After an hour he was able to find a key and my family was able to move in. From that point the house was outstanding and a good time was had by all! It’s a great house and I’ve already recommended it to several friends! This is a story that ended extremely well, but it was an unpleasant challenge getting there!
