THE SPACE
Bougainvillea Bungalow is a private 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom retreat in the heart of Venice. A vibrant five-color bougainvillea shades the hammock and highlights the gated yard, with seating, dining, and a BBQ for outdoor living. Inside, enjoy a king Thuma bed with quince linen duvet, a renovated kitchen and bath, Smart TV, and high-speed wifi. Just blocks from Abbot Kinney, Rose Ave, and the beach, this home offers the perfect mix of privacy, comfort, and Venice energy.
This Craftsman bungalow combines the charm of old Venice with thoughtful modern updates, including a crisp white interior. Afternoon light fills the living space, while outdoors the bougainvillea blooms in white, maroon, red, pink, and orange, creating a spectacular canopy and serving as the centerpiece of the property.
The property includes three identical bungalows separated by fences with unique and very beautiful rosy black-eyed Susan vines that ensure privacy. Bougainvillea Bungalow has the largest yard, additional seating, and nine citrus trees planted along the road for our guests and the community to enjoy.
To ensure complete seclusion, the fence surrounding the home has been raised to seven to eight feet, and the wooden slats at the top have been removed so the bungalow is fully private. The yard includes couches, a dining table, and a BBQ, perfect for afternoons with friends or quiet evenings under the bougainvillea. Two complimentary bikes are provided for exploring Venice at your leisure.
Inside, the bedroom features a king Thuma bed dressed with a quince linen duvet. The kitchen is fully stocked with a Nespresso machine, modern appliances, and all the essentials for preparing meals. Other amenities include a renovated bathroom, washer and dryer, Smart TV with Netflix, Bluetooth sound bar, high-speed wifi, a wall heater, window air conditioner, and ceiling fan.
At 636 square feet, Bougainvillea Bungalow is an ideal retreat for a couple, solo traveler, or anyone looking for a peaceful yet central home base. Guests have their own entrance and outdoor area, with fencing and landscaping separating each of the three bungalows on the property. Outdoor spaces can be enjoyed until midnight, after which we ask for quiet hours to respect neighbors and fellow guests. A small latched gate allows the gardener to maintain the property.

NEIGHBORHOOD INFO
Venice Beach is one of the most walkable and bike-friendly neighborhoods in Los Angeles. Within a few blocks, you’ll find Abbot Kinney, Rose Avenue, and Main Street Santa Monica, all lined with restaurants, boutiques, and a lively weekend scene. The beach is just five blocks away, about a 10-minute walk or a short bike ride.
Venice is also known for its canals and walk streets, both filled with eclectic architecture and historic charm. For longer adventures, the coastal bike path runs north to Malibu or south through Marina del Rey and beyond.
This location is ideal: close enough to enjoy the best of Venice while far enough away to feel private and quiet. Street parking is typically available, though street cleaning occurs Wednesdays and Thursdays between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. For guests who prefer not to drive, Uber, Lyft, and public transit are easy and convenient. The Big Blue Bus line nearby connects directly to Santa Monica and Metro’s Expo Line into downtown Los Angeles.

By booking with us, you agree to sign our Rental Agreement, and check-in instructions will be provided once the agreement is complete. For guests staying over 30 nights, California law requires signing a CAR form through our Broker of Record. Reservations are considered finalized once this document is signed.
All stays over 30 days include a required mid-stay cleaning by our professional housekeeping team, which provides a full refresh of the home and linens. We pay our cleaners a fair, livable wage, and they are the backbone of our business, ensuring each stay is as comfortable and clean as possible.
Dogs are welcome but must be flea-free, pre-approved prior to arrival, and have no history of behavioral issues. Unauthorized pets may result in additional charges up to $1,000 and/or eviction.
This is a non-smoking property. Any violation of the no-smoking policy will result in a minimum $250 fine.

-You understand that your check-in instructions will be sent after successfully signing our Rental Agreement.
-Pets and animals are not permitted at the property at any time whatsoever unless otherwise agreed upon in writing prior to booking. Failure to comply with this will result in an additional charge of up to $1000 and/or eviction without limiting any other legal or equitable remedies available to Owner and/or Company.
-For any items left behind after check-out, guests will be charged the shipping costs and an additional service fee of $25.
