We had an amazing stay. We loved the location! The house had great space and beds for our family to spread out and feel like they were getting plenty of downtime on a true vacation. The top deck and hot tub was special. While we explored much of San Diego, the house and location to Ocean Beach stores and restaurants and ease to and from the airport was nice for our family all flying in and out at different times. Appreciate Lisa and Norman being so responsive and accommodating throughout the process and stay!

Perfect San Diego Family Stay

Our stay was wonderful and the home more than accommodated our family of 6. Multiple living rooms were great, plenty of beds, and we loved the patios. The view from the top floor patio and jacuzzi was phenomenal. Just a couple minute walk to the beach and even a couple stores and restaurants near by. Five star hosts as well!

Unfortunately due to the carpets being replaced right before we arrived the floors were dirty, but the came right over to mop. We did experience some ants

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We truly apologize for the dust you found upon arrival — our brand-new carpets had just been installed after the home was deep cleaned, and we rushed over within minutes to mop the floors so you could start your stay comfortably. We also provided a bottle of wine as a thank-you for your patience while we completed this task. Regarding the ants, we only found a few but treated the area right away to prevent any further issue. Guest comfort is very important to us, and we appreciate your understanding as we continue making improvements to the home for future guests to enjoy.

We finally figured out the hot tub as it took a while to heat up, but then my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Kitchen facilities were perfect. I rated the cleanliness a little lower as the middle first floor room was musty smelling, both the lower bathrooms were slow draining such that we only showered the kids rather than use the tubs, and the keurig coffee maker needed to be drained as there were ants floating in the water well. Bedrooms between stays should be aired out and/or vacuumed as the upstairs middle room was really dusty even in the beddings as no one probably used it for awhile.All these were really minor and easily dealt with so our stay was wonderful! Thank you for your prompt attention to the need for towels as well as supplying paper goods.The area was walkable and convenient. Parking 3 cars was easy. Our family would definitely stay again!Hope this review helps. I don’t want to be picky but hope you appreciate the details.

We are pleased to hear you would stay here again and that the area was walkable and convenient. We provide one set of bath towels and beach towel per guest and pre set two rolls of paper goods per bathroom and kitchen. We provided a complimentary early check in, extra towels and sundries above those provided immediately upon request and at no additional cost. We also offered to clear the slow tub drain asap but was instructed to wait until your group checked out. We believe the odor in lower room is from new carpet that was installed a few weeks ago and we have taken steps to resolve this. The house was treated for ants and will check more closely for any remaining. We are happy that the kitchen was perfect for your group and you gave us five stars. Looking forward to hosting you again.

Our family of 9 spent a week at this home in Ocean Beach and were thrilled with the amount of space - especially the large rooftop patio with our view of the ocean sunsets and the covered patio off the kitchen. The kitchen was well supplied and met our needs perfectly as we cooked several meals. Again, the indoor and outdoor dining features were appreciated.We were happy with the multi-level bedrooms and spaces which seemed to give family members more privacy. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and well-stocked. The entire home and yard were very clean. The location in a quiet neighborhood about two blocks from the beach was ideal for us. We loved our mile walks to the local restaurants for breakfast, coffee, shopping, etc. We had rented two vehicles (two parking spots available in our driveway), so we could have driven, but truly enjoyed strolling through this lovely area. Several of our group took advantage of the Sunset Cliffs trail as they did their morning runs/walks/hikes. Surfing lessons were also a hit just a few blocks away and a quiet beach area was available. We were only about 15-30 minutes from all of the sites/activities we had planned for the week, including the San Diego Zoo, Midway Museum, Old Town Trolley, Sea World and Coronado Island.Check in was easy and our host Lisa met us to give us tips on groceries, restaurants, and activities in the area. Lisa was quick to respond and reached out to us a few times while we were there.

Cannot even begin to describe how perfect this property was for our family. It’s even better than the pictures show!!! The location is prime, walking distance to sunset cliffs and OB. So spacious, INCREDIBLE rooftop! The kitchen is equipped with high quality appliances and items. We used it as the lodging for our families for our wedding weekend and it was absolutely perfect for everyone in our families to have space, separate bathrooms, while also having a beautiful spot to commune and get to know each other better, and enjoy each others company. We would come back in a heartbeat and some of our friends who came by asked for the listing themselves for the future.

The place was perfect for my family. Large common areas that fit our family and the rooms allow those who prefer some quiet time and retreat to. The house is very clean, the kitchen is perfect for family meals with the right size pans, pots, and serving dishes for a large family. The kids enjoyed the side yard, while the adults enjoy the side patio.

We fell in love with Sunset Cliffs the first time we walked along the edge of the ocean here. There’s something magical about this neighborhood—quiet, scenic, and full of natural beauty. It feels like a hidden gem, even though it’s just minutes from downtown San Diego, the airport, and all the best the city has to offer.

We chose this area because we wanted a place where we could truly relax—away from the crowds, but still close to the beach, parks, and great local spots. One of our favorite things is being able to walk to the cliffs for the sunset, or down to the beach for a swim or surf session. On the 4th of July, we can see fireworks from our deck or take a quick stroll to the big beach to watch them up close—without worrying about traffic or parking.

It’s peaceful, family-friendly, and full of charm. That’s why we made this our home away from home—and we hope it feels like that for you too.
