Baker House is located just one block from Haywood Road, where you'll have nearly instant access to tons of local shops, restaurants, and venues!

The guest space includes two bedrooms (each with a queen size bed), a full bathroom (shower, no tub), a spacious living room with a queen sized sleeper sofa, a bright and airy well-stocked kitchen with a dining table that comfortably seats six, a fully enclosed sun-room at the front of the house, and plenty of on-site parking.

Guests will have full access to the entire (private) bottom floor of the house. The owner lives in the (separate) top floor.

I'm sorry we were unable to accommodate your special request to lower the service fees, which were listed when you booked your reservation. As I explained, neither the property owner nor I have control over VRBO's added fees. We also can't change the rate charged by the cleaning company. The property owner pays a flat rate for every cleaning, regardless of the length of the stay. The cleaning crew follows the same protocol for a one-night stay as they would for a one-week stay. As is reflected by your decision to leave a 6 out of 10 star rating, you were clearly unhappy about paying the service fees you agreed to when choosing to make your reservation. In the future, if you plan on asking for a special discounted rate for service fees, I'd suggest doing so before confirming and booking a reservation, rather than after you've paid for the reservation and checked into the property. Doing so may save you some unnecessary frustration.

We had a wonderful time at this cottage. The location was perfect (close to Haywood in West Asheville). And the host was great. We had a minor problem with the toilet and they fixed it right away.

This is a comfy, cozy little old house. It was outfitted so nicely with everything we could need, including some tea and snacks, laundry soap, shampoo, etc. It was particularly perfect to stay with our young kids—toys, games, and not-too-pristine furnishings :) Beds were comfortable and the area is quiet, making for good sleep. The host is a responsive and helpful communicator and the location is very central. Super easy to get from the house to anywhere in Asheville. We would definitely stay again!
