Good Property with great views

We enjoyed our stay a lot at this VRBO. The party I was with loved staying on the mountain, it was cooler, close to the mountain bike park and was surrounded by gorgeous views.

Fantastic accommodations. Very convenient, large balcony with breath taking view. Safe quiet environment and refreshing mornings and evenings with the smell of the pine trees.

Hidden gem

It was cool to find this huge building tucked away. The condo was a perfect size and so nice to have a full ensuite off the master. Views were beautiful and it was priced very reasonable.

Nice Ground Floor Condo

We enjoyed our stay at this Grandview Condo. It was clean, spacious and well stocked. Ski-in is a bit of a walk from the top of Silver Queen but the ski out is right beside the building.

Weekend getaway

Good location. Less than 10 min walk into the village. Main floor patio has nice views. Very peaceful and quiet. We’ll stocked kitchen. BBQ worked great. Great support from property manager.

Everything you need for a family ski vacation

We really enjoyed staying at the Grandview. Direct access to ski out and walking paths. Our children are older now so the short walk back from the top of Silver Queen was no problem. The shuttle also drops right in front. I also really loved the huge parking lot. With other cabins parking can often be a challenge but at the Grandview there are tons of wide open parking spots. The shared hot tubs were nice and quiet. Overall a really great stay.

Great Family Vacay at the Grandview!

We had a fabulous time at Silverstar made possible by the Grandview condo. It suited our family of 6 well. The stocked cupboards were very thoughtful. While we came well equipped, it was nice to know should we have forgotten or ran out of something, like coffee, we would have been covered. It was very handy to ski out just beyond the front doors. The return was from just across the road and up the drive. The hot tub on the second floor was lovely after a full day of skiing and quite quiet. The view from the back deck window out to the beautiful lit snow draped trees was magical. The best part was the communication with the management. Even after-hours they were responsive helping to make our trip maximally enjoyable. Thank you Grandview Heron! We will be back!

Review of Heron Suite Grandview #105

Overall, the suite is comfortable for 5 adults. It is well stocked, with plenty of good quality dishes, glassware etc. The dishwasher worked very well and I appreciated the call from the housekeeper and her efforts to get it running again. We would book this place again. There are a couple of things to be attended to: - the pull-out couch needs a new mattress. It is not comfortable for an adult boy to sleep in after a good day's skiing. - the master bedroom could use a better duvet or quilt. The one there just wasn't warm enough, when a window was opened at night. It would also be nice to have two additional pillows in the master bedroom, for leaning against when reading. - the microwave was not really clean - a dog was barking and crying a lot, either above us or to the side. It seemed to be left alone a lot Thank you.

Grandview Heron

This was a very clean property, and really nice to stay in. We could not figure out how to turn the heat down, though, and it was uncomfortably hot inside. We were also a bit disappointed with the number of restaurants and stores that were not open in the summer, as this seemed strange to us. The hot tub was also closed in summer, so there was not much to do on the hill. There’s no pool or anything else for kids. Regardless, any questions we had were answered promptly, and we really appreciated being allowed to have our dog. Just one note to dog owners: this property is right by the main doors, so our dog barked at everyone walking by the door! If you have a dog that is nervous or protective or barks a lot, be aware of this. We mostly took him with us or shushed him, but it’s just a small point to consider. The only other thing is that there were no free cupboards for us to put our own food, so we had to leave all our non-refrigerated food on the counters, which took up quite a bit of space. Overall, this was a great property, and I would recommend it to stay in.

The Grandview 105 was very clean and well laid out. It even had a few supplies that we had forgotten. Great access to the ski hill. We would certainly love to come back!

Great condo set up, awesome mountain

Our family of 5 just spent 3 very comfortable nights here. The kitchen was very well stocked, and the condo was spacious. Ski out was very easy. The only reason I give it 4 stars over 5 is because it is a bit of a hassle to get back to the Grandview at the end of the day. You do have to ride to the top of the Silver Queen chair and then remove your skis and walk 5 minutes to the condo. As adults this is fine, but with kids and all their gear, it becomes a bit of a challenge, especially if you just want to pop in for a quick lunch. On the plus side, parking is very easy both at the condo and the ski hill, so we packed a lunch, drove into the village each morning and just skied into the Village at the end of the day. It should be noted that this ski in/out situation is similar for a lot of the accommodation on the Knoll and if ski in isn't high on your radar, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this accommodation. On the plus side, it is close to the tube park and skating rink!

Grandview is an excellent location half way up the Knoll. Ski in and out right from the complex and easily access the trails. Grandview has a shared hot tub that is only open during the winter season and a great ski locker with waxing space. It's a quick 10 - 15 minute walk to the village or you can catch the free shuttle that runs every 30 minutes from the village or just outside the Grandview Complex. Guests love Grandview!
