Tucked away on the sought-after Gilner Point Peninsula in Big Bear Lake, The Cowboy Cabin offers more than just a retreat—it’s an adventure. Picture yourself waking up to lake views from your spacious wrap-around porch. Just a quick two-minute walk takes you to the waters of Big Bear Lake. For adrenaline junkies, Snow Summit and Bear Mountain Resort are only a fifteen-minute drive away, providing top-notch skiing and snowboarding in the winter and thrilling mountain biking in the summer.
Step into The Cowboy Cabin, a charming four-bedroom retreat where the spirit of Big Bear`s rich cowboy past blends seamlessly with today`s modern comforts.
What you can expect:
Kitchen: Discover our fully equipped kitchen with stylish and modern finishes, perfect for inspiring culinary creativity. The fully stocked coffee bar, complete with a Keurig coffee maker, ensures an ideal start to every mountain morning.
Upstairs Living Room: Unwind in our expansive open concept living room. You`ll find a comfortable sectional sofa that easily converts to a queen-size sofa bed, perfect for extra guests. For entertainment an electric fireplace provides warmth for cozy evenings, and a Smart TV ready for your streaming favorites.
Downstairs Living Room: Head downstairs which offers another inviting living space designed for relaxation. This area also features an electric fireplace, along with a pinball and foosball machine for some friendly competition, a Smart TV for streaming, and an acoustic guitar for impromptu jam sessions.
Bedrooms: Drift off to dreamland in one of our four thoughtfully appointed bedrooms, each promising a truly restful night`s sleep thanks to the luxurious embrace of top-of-the-line linens.
*Primary Bedroom: King size bed with twin size futon located on the second floor and includes direct deck access.
*Second Bedroom: Queen size bed located on the second floor.
*Third Bedroom: King size bed with a single bed that has a pull-out trundle bed.
*Fourth Bedroom: Queen size bed located on the first floor.

Parking Instructions: Park up to (4) cars in the spacious driveway. Sorry, no street parking. Sorry, no garage access.

Cornhole game available and is located under the stairs.

Please remember these rules are mandated and imposed solely by the CITY and our PERMIT/ORDINANCE which requires property management companies to notify all guests that the CITY requires you to sign a rental agreement and the Good Neighbor Brochure to obtain the code to the property as well as provide a copy in the rental agreement app a copy of Governmental ID that matches the name on the reservation. Please notate these and all rules regarding spa hours, trash removal, noise and dishes being washed are due to our permit and not our rules so please keep this in mind before booking as some guests rate us based on rules we must abide by to rent. We appreciate that they are unique rules please do not review us based on the reviews we need to follow, we appreciate it. The code cannot be sent until this agreement is filled out.
(1) Maximum vehicles and guest occupancy permitted is described in the listing. Any violation is subject to eviction and/or cancellation of your stay. If you need additional parking, please contact us directly.
(2) Big Bear Lake does not allow street parking; they will tow any vehicles parked on the street and any towing fees or fines issued are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.
(3) Excessive noise or loud music heard at the property line is prohibited by the CITY for the consideration of the local residents. The CITY enforces quiet hours from 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM and will send out code enforcement officers to issue fines/and or evict guests for any violations reported. There will be a $300 administrative fine per Code Call for our team to show up as we are required to attend such code call within 30 minus, plus $100 per hour of our time spent for the violation. This is IN ADDITION to any fines issued by Code Enforcement which start at $500 to $5000 per violation.
(4) Dishes - All dishes must be cleaned before leaving and the house must be left in the same condition that you found it in. Any dirty dishes left in the kitchen are subject to a $45 fee- our housekeepers will unload dishes or put them away but do not wash dishes or dump trash per the law this includes leaving dishes with food on them or left in the home. It also attracts vermin. Please note this is part of our permit and not included in cleaning the home after guests leave.
(5) Trash - All trash must be removed offsite to the free trash sites. Any bags or trash left behind in the bathroom, kitchen (including leaving behind items in the fridge, or outside is subject to a $25 per bag for removal this is not our rule - this is the law and we must abide by it as there is no trash service due to wild animals. Please do not review us based on the law. We provide a dump service if you should want to pay in advance, but we have to send a dump service we cannot have housekeepers take the trash as the CITY does not allow this.
(6) Barbecue- Propane is offered on the honor system on any firepit or BBQ. Please do not leave the firepit or BBQ on unattended. Please clean the BBQ after use. If by chance the propane runs out, please let us know and we will send someone to replace it. Please make sure all propane is turned off after use. Big Bear does not allow the use of charcoal of lighter fluid. Please be advised if you run out of propane and it is after hours we cannot promise after hours refills late at night as the stores may not be open.
(7) Pet- The home is strictly not pet friendly as the owners have severe allergies. Any violation is subject to eviction and a $3500 fine plus damages to the home will be charged.
(8) Parties or noise ordinance calls – any parties, events, unauthorized guests or noise complaints will result in immediate eviction with no refund. Any party will incur $5,000 fine plus immediate eviction.
(9) No over occupancy - $500 per person over occupancy fine plus damages plus immediate eviction and subject to code call fines.
(10) No smoking, vaping or drugs inside our cabins at any time. Any evidence of violation is grounds for immediate eviction from the cabin and a $3500 plus damages found at the home.
(11) Please refrain from bringing your own BBQs, Firepits and or outside cooking devices are banned by the CITY due to the fire safety hazards. This is subject to eviction due to this is how fires start.
(12) Due to the mountain location, Big Bear and the surrounding areas are known to have occasional power and internet outages due to circumstances beyond our control. Power outages are usually brief, lasting a few hours or less and the city always tries to work quickly to get it back up and running. There are no refunds at anytime for power or internet outages due to normal mountain conditions, as these are beyond our control.
(13) The Mountain community area does not have air conditioning, and the availability of fans may vary depending on the property description. High temperatures or heat will not be grounds for a refund, as many cabins do not include air conditioning unless specifically stated.
Please keep in mind you must be 25 years old to book.
