Summary:

Our 1-bedroom apartment is fully furnished and perfect for anyone who just wants to settle in and feel at home. You’ll find a cozy bedroom, clean and simple bathroom, full kitchen, and a relaxed living room — all set up with comfort in mind.



The Space:

Our unit is on the second floor (stair access only), with a comfy living area that has a sofa and TV for movie nights or lazy mornings. Wi-Fi’s included and works great throughout the space.



The kitchen has the basics for home cooking—stove, oven, fridge, and a dining table if you’re staying in for a meal. The king-sized bed is soft and inviting, and the bathroom is private, tidy, and stocked with essentials.



Guest Access:

Guests have full private access to the unit, including bedrooms, bathrooms, living area, and kitchen. Check-in instructions will be provided prior to arrival.



The Neighborhood:

Nestled in the vibrant Lake View neighborhood, this location offers a blend of urban convenience and residential charm. Known for its tree-lined streets and historic architecture, Lake View is home to a diverse community and a variety of local amenities. The apartment is older than it appears in pictures but is quite clean as other reviews have stated. It is a roomy for a Chicago one-bedroom and I found it comfortable for my stay. I really appreciated the detailed video for lockbox, key, and apartment entry, as there were quite a few steps. I agree with one review that indicated bedroom is too bright. Room darking curtains can be bought very inexpensively and would certainly provide a better night of sleep. Sheets and bath towels could also use an upgrade. Overall, the apartment is very private and quiet and I will probably stay again.

The bathroom is a joke. So tiny you can hardly move around without potentially burning yourself on the radiator. The bath towels were thin and the size of hand towels. Shower was gross. You need curtains in the bedroom window because there is so much light coming through at night it was like daylight. couldn’t access the internet and the train runs right next door.

Water pressure could’ve been better, adding a shower caddy in the shower would be very helpful and the Wi-Fi was very spotty. Otherwise a very great experience.

No internet connection. Reaching out to “host” and it appeared to not be a real person. The back and forth communication did not resolve the issue. Other than that, clean, safe, and well kept.

The rental was clean and homey. Very accessible to everything! The host was very responsive and check in instructions were detailed so overall it was a great experience. Will rent it again.

Our host stayed very connected with us and made check in particularly easy with a short YouTube video! The apartment was very comfortable and was in a great location for us. The surrounding neighborhood was lovely and offered easy access to restaurants, on-street parking and Whole Foods/Target as well as access to routes that took us to our other destinations. The apartment had everything we needed and was clean and well-maintained. We would definitely stay again.

The apartment was really cute and even though it was old, it was well maintained. Getting the key from the lockbox was a challenge but once we got that the rest was easy. The only bad part of the stay was the TV - the WiFi would not stay connected so it was impossible to watch TV. I called both numbers and could not get a response Also make sure you bring your own coffee - there are filters and there was enough coffee for one day. The bed was very comfortable. It’s a perfect stay for 1 person.

The host were nice and responsive but the internet for the tv went out every 5 minutes. There were no obvious instructions on how to turn on heat and it was freezing we got home late at night and didn’t want to bother them. Turns out 3 windows were open and it got down to 34 degrees. They were too down windows and the blinds covered them so we didn’t find it until we went hunting. It’s a beautiful apartment and I hope they get the issues fixed

I paid for parking at the Y, but was able to find street parking very close by. I had trouble opening the 2nd door into building. Be sure to mention that the same key for gate is for that door and to turn key to the left, leave key in while opening door, then remove key. Also, the directions talked about the lock box outside the door, this is old info. The biggest disappointment was not being able watch tv. According to maintenance guy, he was able to hook up Wi-Fi for me, but TV a is outdated and lacks an antenna. Either take TV out or replace with new, or you could get complaints. Let guests know you are very close to the L, it was nice to have ear plugs provided. I’m used to road noise, so for me, it’s not a big deal. For my needs it was a nice place to stay. The neighborhood was really great. Mostly single family older homes that are beautiful especially in fall. Close to lots of conveniences like restaurants, Target, and retail shopping. I was there to see family, so it was a perfect spot.

Perfect place for a 2 night stay in Chicago, very clean, great communication with host, only thing to know is the lock boxes for the keys are to the left of the gate, initially did not see them when checking-in in the middle of the night. Highly recommend

One of fhe cleanest short term rentals ive seen. Equipped perfectly without extra junk. All kitchen utensils, dishware, glasses, knives match and are of good quality. Bed is extremely comfortable. Wifi is excellent. A very enjoyable stay.
