It is located above the street-level commercial space, which has been a printing shop, a western store, a hat shop, and various other businesses over the years. The upstairs was, at one time, divided into small single rooms, with a chimney and stove for heat. It is now a generous sitting room with television, a large bedroom and wonderful bath. This 1895 historic building built for the Town of Winthrop’s founder, Guy Waring, has been remodeled to provide stylish comfort for overnight guests. Located on the boardwalk in downtown Winthrop, you are within walking distance to restaurants, boutiques, gift shopping, wine bars, taprooms and more. The fully air-conditioned living accommodations include the entire second and third floor of this historic building.
Guy's place is a perfect place for one or two people. Located on the 2nd floor, it includes a master bedroom with a king size bed, sitting room with a big screen smart TV, and master private bath with a walk-in shower. There is also a coffee maker, microwave and a mini-Fridge. The bedroom window faces south, above the Winthrop boardwalk, and is a great place for seeing the goings on of the neighbors. Additionally, there are a variety of street gatherings during the year, and Guy's Place allows ease of access to events like 'Christmas at the end of the road', the 'Balloon Festival', 'Thanksgiving fireworks', 'Antique car show', and it's a short walk home from the many nightly entertainment options.
