There is a reason the curtains are closed in the pictures
First, We absolutely loved the Phoenix East 11 building. The beach is amazing, the building is wonderful. When we were there they were re-landscaping the entire area, updating the grilling area, and the outdoor pool is brand new with a zero entry area. They are also adding a splash pad. We saw multiple workers doing minor maintenance throughout the week, so they put care into the facility. The front desk is in the building next door, so we liked the fact that there was a manager always right there on duty if we needed. The location is nice, about 2 miles from the center of Orange Beach. However I would not recommend this particular condo. We had friends staying in 2 other condos in this building the same time we were there, so we have something solid to compare to. This condo is located in the basement next to the indoor pool. Although the front patio opens up to outside, you have no other windows in the condo that you can open. In both bedrooms the windows are only fire escapes. In bedroom one you open the shades to a cement hole in the ground that actually contained garbage thrown in. The second bedroom when we opened the shade there was an old broken lawn chair thrown into the hole and standing muddy water. The master bedroom patio opens to a cement room built for a fire escape. So very little sunlight gets into most of the condo. The furniture is very warn. Wicker chairs coming a part, dressers shabby, knobs off the entertainment center. There are hardly ANY decorations on the walls. Bathrooms not one, making it a very sterile environment and definately not a homey feel to stay in for a week. Kitchen was well equipped but again very dated. For these reasons I would recommend the building but choose another condo that is taken care of better, and has been updated. I wish I could add pictures to show, but it does not give me the opportunity.
