Welcome to a serene country retreat at Happy Hills Farm. This treehouse apartment has 1 cal- king-size bed and a deluxe queen size air mattress to sleep a total of 4 people. Enjoy a quiet meal overlooking a beautiful day at Happy Hills Farm, a vast field of kumquat trees, an iconic tomato farm next door, chickens free ranging and an enchanting night sky. Take advantage of your private balcony, indulge in coffee/tea from your complimentary coffee bar (located in the kitchen) stocked with syrups, sauces, honey from our own bees, a milk frother and grinder for coffee beans. Bring your own favorite coffee or try organic coffee we have available . Here you can soak in nature relax, and savor the tranquil, peace and quiet, or stroll around the 5 acre farm, enjoy watching the birds, you’ll see Cranes, Owls, Peacocks, Hawks , California Condors and more
Happy Hills Family Farm is a solar powered farm, on well water, and a septic system, we encourage economical and proper use of our systems, without compromising comfort.

Offering in room event dressing prep area with shoe shine machine, shoe shine wipes, and cloths steaming valet, with full length mirrored closet doors.

Included with your stay:
Organic coffee/tea, high quality olive oil, from our own farm avocados, lemons, oranges, honey, tangerines and organic eggs (fruit is seasonal). We also include Beekman 1802 body wash, shampoo and conditioner made with goats milk.

2 Story Barn:
The main level includes the laundry room for your use , and inside the main barn which is for owner use only. On the second level is your balcony and studio apartment.

Sitting area:
A seating area to cozy up on the couch and watch a movie or read a book. We have a table full of games for some family fun. You can enjoy the scenery from the dining table or go out on the balcony for a relaxing meal. The space includes a mini split ac/heat vary the temperature to your liking.

Kitchen:
Kitchen is fully stocked with all you need to create a gourmet meal. Includes Reverse osmosis purified water for drinking, refrigerator/freezer, ice maker inside refrigerator, ice bucket, pots/pans, baking sheets, silverware, champagne flutes, wine glasses, cups and plates, tea kettles, an abundance of cooking utensils, stove top, oven, microwave. Small cooking appliances: juicer for fresh squeezed orange juice or homemade lemonade, waffle maker, electric handmixer, and a food processor, coffee grinder and milk frother. Also included in your kitchen is a coffee/tea station, organic coffee, a variety of teas, sauces, syrups, honey from our own bees, cinnamon, sugar and coco powder.

Sleeping area 1:
California King Casper bed. 100% Egyptian cotton 1000 thread count sheets, 100 % cotton quilt, and hypoallergenic pillows.

Extra pillows and blankets in the closet where you will also find luggage racks and the queen sized air mattress.

Sleeping Area 2:
Queen size air mattress has a built in air pump and is 24 inches tall. Pillows and blankets in the closet. 100% cotton sheets, cotton quilt and hypoallergenic pillows.

Close storage:
you will find a spacious closet with mirrored doors to hang your clothes and luggage racks to set suitcases down. A dresser is also provided.

Closet in front of space is locked and for owner use only.

The Bathroom:
A waterfall shower on well water, with water softener, fresh soft towels, beekman 1802 shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soap. Shower caps, and other essentials. There is a blow dryer with diffuser located in the bathroom drawer. An anti-fog back lit mirror and a medicine cabinet with a first aid kit.

Barn Laundry room ask for access:
The laundry room is equipped with a full-size washer and dryer for your use.

We are a real working Kumquat farm, picking season is December to June, we have over 400 Nagami Kumquat trees, if your unfamiliar with Kumquats they are as follows:

Sweet Skin:
The outer peel is known for its sweetness, contrasting with the tartness of the inner flesh.

Tart Flesh:
The pulp of the Nagami kumquat is acidic and tart, providing a balanced flavor profile with the sweet skin.

Spicy Note:
Some describe a slight spicy or aromatic flavor in the Nagami kumquat, adding to its complexity.

Edible Entirely:
Unlike oranges, kumquats are typically eaten whole, including the peel, to fully appreciate their flavor.

You are in for a real treated
The entire upstairs apartment and balcony is for your private use. The home is accessed from the 2nd gate with the house number on the mailbox. (instructions will be sent within 24 hours of your stay) After entering through the gate, you will drive up to the red barn and park in the area at the side of the red barn.

You are more than welcome to walk around but do be careful. This large farm is in the countryside which shares space with outdoor critters and bugs. We organically treat our barn, however pests can and will occasionally make their way into the house and on the grounds. Hosts cannot guarantee a 100% bug and pest free experience. Please be reasonable and understand that you have booked a country setting.

1 mile from us you will find Wild Wonders, animal refuge. They offer many tours and animal interactions. You will also find wineries closeby including Monserate winery 7 miles away and Fallbrook winery 8 miles away. 10 miles away are an abundance of local breweries if you feel like driving 30 minutes Stone Brewery is located in Escondido.

We are centrally located to the many attractions in Southern California with easy access to major highways (about 7 miles off highway I-15 and 2 miles off highway 76). We are 15 miles close to the beaches in Oceanside and Carlsbad. 18 miles from Legoland. The Zoo Safari Park is only 21 miles away. Drive south to Sea World and the San Diego Zoo, or head northwest to Disneyland. Temecula wine country, casinos including Pechanga and Pala.
Also local golf courses such as the California Golf Club or Arrowood Golf course. During the summer months, you can enjoy several outdoor Theater events: Moonlight Amphitheater is just 4.4 miles away with blanket seating and picnics, or the Old Globe theater in Balboa park, which also has a multitude of museums.
You will be 15 miles to whale watching, surfing, or waterfront dining. We are 33 miles from del mar race track, and the del mar fair Head 45 miles south to experience South county San Diego including seaworld, old town, seaport village, Fiesta island, San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park and so much more.

We are 50 miles north of San Diego International Airport and 63 miles south of John Wayne Airport.
