This property was so perfect for our group. So much space inside and out, well equipped for cooking, lounging and playing, and provided great ambiance with speakers and lighting that perfectly compliments the property. We had a hard time deciding whether to stay at the house or go explore Maui. Everything that we could possibly need was available, plenty of towels, pots and pans, cups, etc. which is a wonderful thing when you have a big group. One more thing to mention; the house, while luxurious and beautiful, felt warm and inviting. We weren’t scared to sit or touch. Great thing when you’re traveling with kids. I genuinely hope to return someday to this house! It made the vacation over the top perfect!

Overall we had a great time. Property has incredible views and very private. Easily accommodated our group of 10 people, excellent location - beaches, snorkeling, turtle watching, Mama's Fish House and more just a few minutes drive.

What a beautiful property! Our family spent a wonderful week here and it was incredibly hard to leave! From the fresh fruit picked from the on property fruit trees to the gorgeous pool and the amazing kids space, it was perfect. Great for all ages, close enough to drive everywhere on the island but honestly, we didn't even want to leave the property.

Peaceful Haiku

Beautiful property with many fruit trees. Amazing views and a nice quiet neighborhood in Haiku. You are very close to Paia for shops and restaurants. You won’t want to leave though.

Wonderful house, great family experience

The house is not on the beach, but it commands a breathtaking view of the coast. Avoid the crowds, enjoy the generously sized pool and lovely grounds. Gather bushels of oranges, too! Roads are adequate, supermarket is nearby, Norm is a friendly local host.

Loved It

The view from Seaview is phenomenal. We were a family group of 8 ranging in ages from sweet sixteen to 81. We had a great time playing pool, swimming in the pool and hot tub and even had a putting tournament. This was our first time staying up country on the north shore. In the future we will probably will stay in the Haiku area. The lack of AC in the living and dining rooms was not a problem because of the trade winds. We will stay here again if the opportunity comes up.

Lovely and comfortable setting in Haiku

Seaview is aptly named for the lovely, expansive view of the ocean off the north shore of Maui. The home is beautifully appointed: well-equipped kitchen (we hired a private chef for 2 nights and he agreed!), comfortable beds, lots of outdoor space to enjoy the weather and the stars. Did I mention the STARS? Great view of the night (and early morning) sky. There is an easy-to-use sound system on the pool deck, so we really came to love having Hawaiian music playing in the background. The layout of the house is such that there is plenty of room for everyone to have private space - and likewise lovely communal areas that provide great gathering space - inside and out!

Seaview estate review

Overall, it is an excellent property with a lot of room to roam around. It's very private and secure with great staff. Bedrooms were all a good size and far enough apart to offer a lot of privacy. The pool and spa are a highlight for those who want to take advantage of them. There are some minor (or maybe major) shortcomings, depending on one's point of view. While it worked very well for our family group, it isn't ideal for a group of seniors because the only bedroom on ground level is the cabana suite. The spiral staircase is very narrow and going downstairs with a laundry basket can be pretty tricky. The screens on most of the windows in great room need to be replaced, because they don't fit well and won't stay in place. Similarly, putting sunshades on the west facing windows in the great room would significantly reduce the afternoon heat build up in that room. I would definitely recommend this property.

Beautiful house and View, house needs some maintenance updates

Overall this place was lovely! The view was amazing and the house was spacious and clean. When we arrived, it was clear the house was opened right before our arrival… very hot and the AC had a hard time cooling it down in the rooms where available. Specifically the master suite with two full walls of windows. The first night was VERY hot. Once the ac was able to get ahead of it, it was fine as long as we kept it on all the time. We had to call the maintenance guy a couple of times during our week long stay- The faucet handle in the nanny suite broke in the shower and the pool was pretty cold. He came right away and worked on fixing the handle. When we asked about The pool heat, he again came right away and turned the heater on. Apparently they don’t keep it on in the summer months although it’s advertised as a heated pool. This was something we looked for as we were traveling with our 6 month old baby. Midway through the trip the pool guy was there and told us the hot tub had a leak and we couldn’t use it. He said he’d be back in a few days to fix it, but no one ever notified us when that was done, so we had to call and ask about it and it wasn’t available to us for 3 days, which stunk. The location is good, neighborhood was nice and quiet, but for the price, I would not have anticipated needing to contact maintenance as many times as we did. Seems they wait for things to break instead of repairing before it’s a problem.

Aloha Kelly. I'm so sorry about the confusion surrounding the hot-tub. When the technician showed up to provide the regular weekly service, he noticed a very small leak. We never want to waste water on Maui, so he asked if you could refrain from using the hot-tub while he repaired it. It took less than an hour, and he should have alerted you that the tub was ready for use before he left. Unfortunately you were left with the impression that it couldn't be used and didn't realize until several days later that it was repaired. We don't usually heat the pool in the summer as the pool temperature is around 81F. But we were happy to turn the solar system on for you. The shower handle in one of the bathrooms required a major fix. We ended up taking out tile to get to the shower valve. Unfortunately there was no way for us to know in advance that the handle would come off. I apologize for the disruption. I hope you went home with wonderful Maui memories. It's so fun to gather with family.

What a beautiful open house with great views of the ocean. Plenty of space for a family of 8. Each day after adventuring out on the island we came back and spent time in the pool or hot tub. Plenty of room for parking, nice outdoor grill, great breezes throughout the house during the day, delicious fruit tree on the property, gated and easy travel to the house. Very private setting. Definitely will stay there again when in Maui.

Exceeded expectations

The house was one of the highlights of the trip. We had wonderful trade winds, so it was cool in the mornings and evenings. Very spacious and room for all 10 of us. Lovely grounds and the location was perfect - not too far to anything. Overall, it exceeded expectations!!!

Perfect place for your family time… Peaceful & calm environment!

This home is perfect for a family or friends getaway. Large communal areas & 5 bedrooms . This property allows for quiet calm down time a bit away from the hustle & bustle of the more touristy areas but an easy drive to anywhere you might want to visit! We loved our time together with our family & extended family of 10. We highly recommend this beautiful property!

Amazing vacation home

We loved staying at SeaView. The view is unbeatable. Plenty of room to spread out! Our bed was so comfortable! So luxurious to have privacy and our own pool and hot tub to ourselves. We grilled one night, and ate outside. So nice to have plenty of tables and chairs and music ! We had a wonderful vacation!

spectacular

From the moment of booking to the last minute prior to departure...it was awesome! The management team communicated often, and was very helpful to understanding the property and also areas to visit. We snorkeled using a business called Calypso and saw whales (a lot), and sea turtles along with beautiful coral and many different fish. We took the road to Hana and around the back side of the mountain...what a ride! We visited the crater, and the rain forest. We also watched surfers and swam in the ocean. We loved the property! the pictures in my option don't do it justice. You can actually see surfers, and whales sitting by the pool. We all enjoyed it, and would love to return another day! thank you for allowing us to stay at this home.

a rare winner!!

We stay in rental houses on the islands several times during the winter, and have been visiting since the 1970s. Our criteria is tight.....rural feel, heated pool, superb view, outside or at the edge of the rain, and a reasonable price. This house fits all of those! We've only found a few comparable on Maui, Hawaii and Kauai.....rare beasts indeed. This one is a keeper...we'll be back!

Seaview the amazing!

Had an absolute blast staying at Seaview! There were four couples all together and we had plenty of space to hang out as a group, but enough privacy to enjoy downtime independently. The location of the property is central on the island so very easy to get around. Would absolutely recommend this property to anyone interested in a wonderful Maui experience. Mahalo!
