We stayed for four nights in this beautiful cabin near El Castillo to celebrate our anniversary, and it truly exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the once-in-a-lifetime view of Arenal Volcano and Lake Arenal. Waking up to the sounds of toucans in the morning and falling asleep to the soft rhythm of a rainforest rainstorm felt like something out of a dream.The cabin was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped — clearly cared for with love and attention to detail. Communication with the host was smooth and helpful from start to finish, making our stay stress-free and enjoyable.The location was perfect: close enough to La Fortuna for day trips, yet tucked away enough to feel like a private escape in the jungle. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better spot to celebrate such a special occasion.Highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for peace, natural beauty, and a little magic in Costa Rica. We’ll never forget it.

We loved our stay at El Cielo. I cant say enough about the view. It was so special and the view if the lake and Volcano was magical. The hummingbirds were all over the garden area. The monkeys close by in the trees in the early morning. There were horses grazing right in front of the property and it made for a picture perfect scene . The house was full of great jungle color and energy. There was stuff for entertainment in house and house was well stocked. Fresh coffee from local farm for our morning cup (WOW). If you are in need to unwind this is the place. There is no need to go anywhere to get a better view then this . The grounds of the house is full of flowers so lots of butterfly's and birds. El Castillo was a great little town and had great hiking or just a nice walk. We took the horse tour to the waterfall with Lellander the local cowboy that was really a great activity and was worth every minute. Thanks El Cielo for making my Costa Rican vacation memorable!

La mejor vista

La vista era perfecta. Estaba apartado y las estrellas desde la Terraza por la noche eran mágicas. Este es un lugar para relajarse, desconectar y desconectar. No se pierdan el amanecer y el atardecer; el lago y el volcán se iluminan de forma preciosa. La ropa de cama y las camas eran estupendas y acogedoras. Disfrutamos de café recién hecho de la compañía local Monte Verde Coffee, un detalle muy agradable. Sin duda, una estancia inolvidable.
Pude ver el volcán tan grande y buena vista🌺
Desde el balcón disfruté de los animales y la vista que tiene esta linda casa, gracias💐

I chose to build El Cielo in El Castillo, La Fortuna Costa Rica because its 30 min from La Fortuna and it still a small village and does not have all the commercial hustle and bustle.

El Cielo is perched on a mountain top at the very end of the small village of El Castillo. I love the seclusion, birds, fresh air, and the clouds that surround my home being elevated give me a pristine view of the whole village, lake and volcano. I have a stunning unobstructed view of the volcano and lake from all areas of the home, even the bedrooms. It really indescribable.
