Puerto Morelos condo

Our stay was absolutely excellent and met all expectations. The condo is very well equipped and we had everything we needed. The location is superb in a quiet neighbour hood but convenient to everything for shopping, restaurants and the beach. Loved it and would definitely come again.

Great Location

This property was amazing! Within walking distance to the beach and town. The space had everything we needed. Our host Nora was kind and answered any questions we had. She even called and spoke to the driver that picked us up from the airport to make sure he had correct directions to the property.

Perfect Stay!!

Absolutely one of the best rentals we've ever had. Our stay was perfect! Beautiful apartment in a relaxing location, yet close enough to all the "action". Also just a few blocks to the beach! Owners very responsive to questions and minor issues. The apartment is spacious and tastefully decorated. Pool area was private and great to have available. Also like having a washer/dryer after a week traveling around the Yucatan peninsula. Highly recommend!

Felt like home.

Even though not on the beach, we were so happy with this rental. It had everything we needed- huge, comfortable bed, breezes, great porch for hanging out, washer/dryer w soap, bottled water hooked up to frig. TV worked great & easily. Nora was very responsive to every communication. Close enough to town for walking, especially since there is now a great new grocery store downtown. The remodel was very well done. Nice, new windows.

Our host, Maria, was terrific from the moment we made our reservation.

Great location to the beaching, restaurants, and downtown. The king size bed was extremely comfortable plus there was another sleeping room where several additional guests could have stayed. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and them some! Loved having a washer and dryer in the unit. Mini splits and ceiling fans kept the entire place comfortable. Beautiful deck area (we were on the 2nd floor). Gate was kept locked around the building for added feeling of security. Can’t wait to go back!

Great Experience

The 2nd apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures. As others have said, it is very well appointed - everything you could need for your stay. Comfortable bed, good air conditioning, nice balcony. Pool area was great - my husband and I were the only ones using it. We also appreciated that they had beach chairs and umbrellas for us to take to the beach. It was a quiet location but only a short walk to the beautiful beach, restaurants, shops and the town square. Hosts were great and communication with them was very easy. Thank you again Maria and Nora for a great stay!! We highly recommend this property.

Lovely villa cerca de la playa!

This is such a glorious place to stay in Puerto Morelos. On a dead -end street, with so many little spaces to hang out in: Up on the roof in the hammock, out on the front balcony, down in the courtyard on the concrete benches, out by the pool. The views are gorgeous of the building on the corner and the amazing ecovilla at the end of the Street, as well as sunset from the roof ! Immaculately clean, very well equipped, with two bathrooms. The hosts were great. Sent someone to repair a lamp that wasn't working, recommended their own personal doctor when I was sick, came to say hello and goodbye at the beginning and end of the trip. Very highly recommended !

Great Condo!

Spent a week here. Pros: Very clean, well stocked with cooking items and basics like tp, coffee filters, paper towels , even some coffee in the freezer! Two short bocks to the beach, three longer ones to Chedraui with a plethora of restaurants alond the way. Cool rooftop hammocks, nice pool area, beach chairs, pretty much anything you need. You can walk everywhere. Good snorkeling right from the beach. Nice having a second bathroom. Also filtered water pumps through the fridge with water, cubes, crushed ice option. Cons: Not many. The patio (had breakfast and lunch out there every day) was really nice but only one wobbky table and 4 flimsy plastic chairs. (Did hVe one hammock though.) The front gate is kept locked but kind of a pain to unlock from the inside and then relock from the outside every time you leave. Overall great stay! Good location. Well stocked. Personal attention if you need anything.

Great Property

This property has 3 floors with one “unit” on each floor. We stayed a week on the 2nd floor. Pros Great comfy bed and pillows 2 bathrooms each with shower Pool Huge fridge with ice machine and purified water dispenser Nice balcony A/C in living area and bedroom Purified water supplied Well stocked pots/pans/dishes/glasseare/cutlery/basic pantry items Washer/dryer Beach chairs supplied Lotsa windows 2 blocks from beach Beach towels supplied Cons (im being nit-picky…) A/C in bedroom not as strong as in living area. Fans helped, but being from the north, i would have preferred cooler. Stairs up and into the room - not too bad, but something to think about if you have mobility issues. Certainly better than 3rd floor unit, but worse than ground floor. Pool is mostly in shade all day (like i said, im nit-picking, hehe). Walk to any store or resto is maybe 8 minutes. This isnt necessarily bad, but in full sun can be trying if youre not acclimated. We had a car, this was not an issue. Overall its s great, comfortable, nice place to stay, dont let my “cons” scare you, theyre just something to think about (as in ANY place).

Wonderful

I have stayed in many different places before, but now I have found my home in Mexico. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you would need if you like to cook. It is on a quiet street, just a few blocks from the beach, and the price is very reasonable. My hosts Nora and Maria could not have been more helpful. I will never stay anywhere else again!

Overall good

This property hosted by Nora and Maria Elena was exactly as described in the listing. Great location close to the beach and numerous restaurants. The apartment was clean and well equipped. It was also very convenient to have beach gear (umbrella, chairs, towels) on site. The long term residents on the first and 3rd floors were very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the communication we had with the host Nora was difficult and at times unpleasant. During our phone calls with her regarding the check-in process we were met with an often demeaning tone and we felt we were blamed for things that were out of our control. There was a lack of communication about what information they needed from us (i.e. flight arrival time, transportation to house from airport) and this led to multiple frustrating phone conversations which could have been avoided. The communications through the VRBO app with the other host, Maria Elena, were all very professional and respectful. Overall, enjoyed our stay.

Great Stay in Puerto Morelos

I spent one month in this VRBO and it was perfect. This is a 3-apartment building with the lower level and upper levels being occupied by long term tenants. I stayed in the middle apartment, which is the basis of my review. The apartment feels worlds away from all the beach fanfare, yet only 1.5 blocks to the beach. It's location next to the mangroves gives it a wonderful natural feel along with plenty of birds for your morning concert. The location really is perfect for those looking to stay close to the beach but with a tranquil place to come home to at night. Since I stayed for one month, I especially enjoyed the very well stocked kitchen along with the full-sized washer/dryer. In addition to the apartment, the hosts were extremely communicative, helpful and flexible. They also made sure that the place is kept extremely clean and organized. Great Stay!

Just right for us

The best part about vrbo, etc. is, if you’re lucky, you’ll get to stay in a place that feels like a home. If you’re really lucky, you’ll get to connect with great hosts in a way that you never could with employees or staff at a hotel. In our case with Villas Marushiña, we were lucky on both counts. To begin with, Nora, Maria Elena, and Gil are fantastic hosts. They’re so genuinely friendly and were always very quick to respond to any questions we had, even about things not necessarily related to the apartment. We were also lucky enough to have been able to tag along with Nora and Maria Elena one day to a local cenote. This family will always be a fond part of our memories from our trip and we’re hoping we get to see them again someday. As for the apartment, it was perfect for us. We stayed in the middle floor of 3 apartments in the building and it was very peaceful and quiet. There’s a clean, shared pool in the back and a shared palapa with hammocks on the roof top. A balcony at the front of the apartment overlooked the dead-end street. Only 1 house separated the villa from the edge of the mangrove. All the rooms were very spacious and comfy and the tv had a bunch of channels. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The refrigerator was huge with a water dispenser connected to drinkable water. There was laundry detergent, dish soap, a new sponge, spices, a blender, gas stove, plenty of cooking utensils…everything! Another thing that was great for us was that the king bed could be separated into 2 twins (we needed 2 beds) and, upon arrival, we found that they had done the work for us and set up the two beds in the room in a perfect way. On the opposite side of the bedroom there is a nice sized closet, extra towels and sheets, an iron and a scale. Safety was never a concern but, even so, the villa had a big wall all around it with a locked gate (like most houses here do) and the door to the apartment had a handy keypad entry so you never had to worry about losing a key. The location of the villa was also perfect. Just a few blocks east was the beach and a few blocks more got you right to the center square. We took Spanish lessons at a great Language Center (highly recommend) and that was less than 2 blocks away. Everything was close. Overall, Villas Marushiñas was a great place for us. Muchas gracias to Nora, Maria Elena, and Gil for a great stay in Puerto Morelos.

Wonderful place!

We stayed for 8 nights in the middle apartment. We would have stayed longer, if we could. The apartment was perfect for us in every way, very beautiful, comfortable, and spacious. Excellent kitchen. We loved having breakfast on the front veranda each morning and watching the neighborhood, while enjoying the breeze. Maria Elena and Nora were both muy simpatica. We definitely hope to stay here again in future.

Love Mexico

This property is an isolated paradise in a wonderful location. So close to beach and town, that everyday was a relaxing, no needs kind of day. Condo is well maintained _ including the pool. Washer and dryer a great bonus. Bed very comfortable. Norah was an exceptional host. Waiting for our arrival with hands on showing of all amenities and how to operate. She even drove us around town to point out resturants , local spots and talk about this wonderful community of Peurto Morales. Even stopped at the grocery store so we could start our stay without worry. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

A quiet place close to everything you need

The owner, Nora, is amazing and her manager is great as well. Both communicated very well and answered all the questions. The room itself is awesome for two people, the bed is big and the kitchen is functional. The washer and dryer is very convenient. The terrace has a great view of the mangrove and the top floor is great for lounging in the hammock. Pool is very clean as well. Walking distance to the beach and the town square we will be staying her many more times!

Good location

This property was in a good location, only 2 short blocks to the beach and about 4 blocks to the town center. Lots of good restaurants. The Chedraui grocery store was a great addition for the town. Everything we needed was close by.

Amazing property.....great location....

This was our 2nd trip to Puerto Morelos and our first time staying at this condo. Great property, very clean, bigger than it looks in the pictures. Great location, quick 4 min walk to the beach, 7 min walk to restaurants, etc. Close enough to easily walk but far enough away for it to be quiet and peaceful. Maria Alayna was gracious host. Beach chairs, jugs of water, beach towels were all there waiting for us! We will definitely stay here again.

A Beautiful Rental

I am very impressed with the upkeep of the building inside and out. If something is starting to look shabby, it is repaired very quickly. Even minor things are fixed. We have booked here for next year because of the way the place is taken care of. We have nothing but positives
