Taxis are the most common and convenient way to get around Tulum.

You can easily find taxis at the entrance of Aldea Zama.

Taxis are especially recommended at night, as some streets have limited lighting.

🚲 Bike and Scooter Rentals

Buses & Colectivos

While Aldea Zama is mainly residential, public transportation options are close by:

ADO Bus Station

The main ADO bus station is only 5 minutes away by car.

From there, you can travel to: Cancún, Cancun Airport, Playa del Carmen, Bacalar, Mérida, Chetumal, and more.

Colectivos (Local Shared Vans)

Colectivos operate along the main highway, about 5–7 minutes from Aldea Zama.

They are affordable and convenient for routes between Tulum–Playa del Carmen and Tulum–Cobá.

They do not enter Aldea Zama, so you’ll need to walk or take a taxi to reach the pickup point.

Maya Train

While there is no station inside Aldea Zama, the Tulum Maya Train Station is:

Approximately 10–12 minutes away by car.

It offers regional connections to Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Bacalar, Mérida, Valladolid, and more.

This is a great option for guests who want to explore the region without renting a car.

Airport Connectivity

Tulum International Airport (TQO): 30–40 minutes by car.

ADO buses and taxis offer transportation from the airport to Tulum.
