My friends and I do a fishing trip on a different lake in the Adirondack,s once or twice a year. This is by far the nicest location yet ! We rented a boat at the marina a few minutes away. The house was comfortable , fully equipped and also on the nicest part of the lake. The owners Shawn and Nicole were super friendly and wonderful to communicate with. I would highly recommend this lake house for a family as well . Brian C

Amazing property and amenities for enjoyment

Our family had a wonderful week at this special home and property. Everything the home had to offer perfected our trip. We’ll never forget the incredible views! Must be incredible in the fall. The owners were so proactive, polite and eager to ensure we had a wonderful stay.

Great family vacation!

The property was as wonderful as we hoped! It had everything we needed for the 9 of us ( ages 66 to 1 year). Shawn and Nicole were great with communication ! Always available to answer our questions!

Family fun relaxation

This property is truly one of a kind! How it’s perfectly place on the Great Lake. Also the dock had plenty of fish from trout to bass a fisherman’s paradise. Would definitely recommend anyone who is looking for a great spot to just get away from city life like how my family did and just to relax out by the water everyday and then roast marshmallows at the fire pit every night.

Family Gathering

The lake home is perfect for extended families. With two levels there was space for everyone. The yard to the lake is great for children and the large deck perfect for adults. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking in, and with the open concept the cook can still enjoy the party.

Beautiful serene relaxing and fabulous

This was one of the best vacations we have had in a long time. It was so beautiful there and every window looks at the water. It was incredibly relaxing and peaceful. We had a fire outside on Sat night looking at the lake and enjoying the quiet. This is a fabulous place and there are little quaint towns to visit and great restaurants. We loved every minute here and are planning to go back very soon and next summer.

Amazing week

Thank you Shawn & Nicole for hosting our family and friends in your home. There were 12 of us and there was plenty of room. Kids had a great time fishing off the dock and watching the sunsets! We had fires every night and coffee on the porch in the mornings! Hopefully we can return again next summer!

Relaxing week!

The house, property, and view are all stunning. My children, husband, and father enjoyed fishing off the dock. My mother could remain on the house deck and watch us playing in the yard and swimming in the lake. My boys enjoyed the kayaks provided… so many memories were made in this beautiful house!

Just what we needed!

This home is all about the view and wow what a view it is. We so enjoyed our week of relaxation, boating, fishing and family. The big windows let in the natural light and the outdoor living space is perfect. Big deck, nice seating area, awesome fireplace, beautiful property and a boat dock which was key for us. Worth noting is there's not a ton to do in the area unless you head to lake george, but the house was so nice and homey, we loved cooking in and just enjoying the house.

Lovely little getaway!

This house is situated beautifully on Great Sacandaga Lake. The water level was very low while we were there but that didn't stop my son and husband from doing a lot of fishing (with several nice catches). The house is well appointed with plenty of bedrooms, linens and kitchen necessities. There were a lot of cluster flies that needed to be picked up when we first arrived but other than that, very clean. One suggestion might be to have better lighting in the upstairs great room as it was difficult to see (especially for the older adults) once the sun set. The owners were wonderful to communicate with and went above and beyond in this realm. I would definitely stay at this home again!

Augusy2019 stay at Tranquility Point

We had a great time this year at Tranquility point. The cottage was perfect for our family of11. We've been coming to various places in the Adirondacks for years and this is one of the best locations we've found. The deck and the views are amazing. Although we have our own kayaks the kids and one son were able to use all the toys they provide. Very well equipped with anything you would need during your stay. Definitely a 5 star. Ron and Linda

Perfect week

It was a perfect week for our family group of 10 ages 4 - 75. The place was wonderful and fully stocked with everything you need. We enjoyed many fires and rented a boat to explore the lake. The water was warm and the kids loved the beach. We also enjoyed the outdoor water sports, kayaking, fishing and paddle boarding. Spent an afternoon on beach island in the big part of the lake. This is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the scenery. Shawn and Nicole answered all our questions right away and were wonderful hosts, thanks.

A Very Nice Week At The Lake

My family and I visited the lake house this summer and it was a really good experience. Shawn and Nicole could not have been more pleasant to communicate with. Great people with a lovely home. My family has been visiting the Adirondacks every summer for over 40 years. It was great to spend a week on the Great Sacandaga Lake. Everything went well and we hope to be back again in the future. We are truly thankful to Shawn and Nicole for their hospitality and allowing us to spent time at their vacation home. Cheers!

Magnificent

This property is a 10. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need for a large group including sharp knives - loved it. The lake is just picturesque, clean and so many fun things to do. The kids had a ball using the stand up boards at the beach section of the property. We rented a pontoon boat and added to our fun. The deck furnishings were so nice to sit outside and enjoy the view. Thank you so much.

Wonderful getaway!

This home is in a great location for lake fun. We were able to swim and kayak directly from the property. With 6 bedrooms there was plenty of room. The kitchen is stocked with spices, utensils and equipment to be able to stay put and cook. The fire pit was amazing and there was firewood stacked up upon our arrival for us to use. Nicole and Shawn, the owners of the home were very kind and easy to work with and answered all of our questions. They even checked in with us the day prior to our arrival to see if we had any last-minute questions. Highly recommended rental and I am sure you will enjoy it as much as we did!

Beautiful House and great Location. Fantastic Deal

Everything went very smooth from the easy checkin to the expectations checking out. There was even a gift and a hand written note upon arrival which was very thoughtful. Everything was super clean. There was firewood to utilize and the lake was beautiful. We recommend renting a boy at majestic marina and taking it to I-Go-Inn Restaurant which has curtsey slips. The food and drinks there were amazing. We left the house in great condition which. We receipt our deposit back quickly. The one thing that caught us off guard were the 4 security cameras outside which made us feel slightly uncomfortable once we discovered them only because we were not made aware of this ahead of time by the listing on contract we signed. Other than that it was a great stay. I would recommend it.

Location can't be beat!

Beautiful home, spectacular panoramic views from the moment you walk in the door. Nice, private location. Lots of outdoor seating areas for dining and enjoying the views. The multiple entryways made unpacking/packing very convenient, and the home had plenty of space for our multiple families. The well-stocked kitchen had everything we needed, and the extra refrigerator in the basement was a bonus. The wide width of the new boat dock walkway was very safe, and the size of the dock made it easier than usual to dock the boat. The beach was a perfect swimming area, especially for the younger children. The weather didn’t complete cooperate, so we got less use of the paddle boards and kayaks than we’d have liked, but it was nice that so many are provided. One day spent in Saratoga Springs at the shops and the Fair. Thank you to Shawn and Nicole for sharing your home with us; you were wonderful hosts.

Perfect Vacation Home for our Family!

We were looking for a last minute vacation rental at the lake and saw that this home had just been listed --- the owners told us that we were the first family to rent the home and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay --- thank you!! The layout of the home is great, it is very open and has plenty of different spaces, inside and out, upstairs and down, to relax and get away. The views are unbelievable – even better than the pictures. There is not a room in the house that doesn’t have a view to the lake. What a cool spot. The kitchen and home is very clean and well equipped. The owners even left a list for us to write our suggestions for what could be added to the home to improve it for future vacationers. We left a couple thoughts – but truly there isn’t much to want here! Our family has been going to the lake for a long time and this is hands down the best place we’ve ever stayed. This part of the lake is also great for boating and doing water sports with the kids. Thanks again and good luck to you – we will absolutely be back next summer!

A+++, Views in every direction, Relaxing, Spacious, Equipped with EVERYTHING!

We had a wonderful week in this slice of heaven and I can't stop talking about it! The owners of this property thought of EVERYTHING for their renters. You literally need clothes and food and you're good to go! This house is spacious enough that we never felt on top of each other. So many places to sit and relax... upstairs, downstairs, on the deck, on the dock, on the beach, under the tree, under the other tree, in the kayak... you can get away from it all while you get away from it all! LOL! The beds were extremely comfortable. The sheets and towels are new and fluffy. Extra pillows and blankets if you needed them we a nice plus. It was a hot week while we were there but the breezes off the lake are very refreshing. After reading one of the other reviews, I brought a window fan from home for my bedroom and it really helped pull in the cool night time air on the warm nights. That said, the whole house is well equipped with different fans for the bedrooms and living areas. The kitchen is equipped with more than you'll ever need for the week. We were pleased to see an array of different life jackets for all ages and sizes to go along with the kayaks/paddle boards. We kayaked for miles on the lake and really enjoyed that point of view. The lake is big enough that you can stay close to shore on your kayak and stay well clear of the boats zipping around. We rented a pontoon and docked it easily at the house as the water was deep enough (prob 8-10 feet). We were able to cruise the length of the lake in one day... I highly recommend it! We bought inner tubes and floated around on the little cove next to the house. And the fishing was awesome! We caught many HUGE small mouth bass right off the dock (with crawfish) and even a pickerel (on a lure)! Fires at night were great and we were so appreciative of the wood the owners provide to get you started. It lasted us for 3 nights! If you miss the comforts of city living... they have 2 tv's with awesome cable service. Also the landline phone is enormously helpful because there is no cell service there. The owners are so accommodating and we really appreciated the thoughtful gift and phone call to make sure our arrival was perfect! I have NEVER experienced that before and you just know that they take pride in their house and really want you to have a fabulous experience. I highly recommend this property, you won't be disappointed!

Great Lake Experience!

This has to be one of the best locations on the lake! The views were always amazing whether it was sunny or even raining. We had such a great time kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking nearby, lazing on the deck and watching shooting stars at night. It was a fantastic family vacation with great memories made! Shawn and Nicole were incredibly communicative and helpful, as was the property manager, and that made our stay stress-free!
