Michelle Brad Peace reality Debordieu country club Ronald Boyd's iPad
I am reaching out to you after a very traumatic flood incident yesterday August 15, 2021 at 1109 Debordieu Boulevard unit 15 Powell property. 4:30 our entire family which includes myself, 63 knee and hip replacement, my husband, also 63 Ronald with a heart condition, our son 34-year-old and his wife also 34 and their five-year-old son for a family walk on the beach.
We returned to the Villa 5ish to have sirens from the smoke detector blaring, water streaming from the ceiling, water streaming from the lights, water dripping down the walls and floor saturated with standing in water on the first floor. My five-year-old grandson was terrified from the shrieking smoke detectors. We were terrified not knowing what was going on. Our clothes, our food, our valuables all saturated with water coming from everywhere. My husband made his way up three flights of stairs to the very third floor bathroom to find that a hose had burst to the toilet viciously spilling water everywhere. He tried to turn the valve off. He could not , he took the hose crimped it, holding until help arrived. I was instructed to take the five year old grandson because I am not Mobile and get out at the villa, my son and daughter-in-law gathered as much of our personal property as they could to protect from any more water damage as my husband continued to hold the hose. I called Michelle who is our representing agent only to get a message which I left and requested for her to call 911 find somewhere for us to stay that night and send help. Her response was she would send maintenance. At that point I told her this was beyond what maintenance could do, that this was an emergency situation and to please send help. After waiting 20 minutes, no one had arrived. at this point I called 911. 911 informed me no one had made the call. I requested them to come as soon as possible after 25-30 minutes and I do have phone logs and videos of the flood to confirm. Security came and the fire department within minutes of each other. My husband instructed them to where the leak was. Security disabled the watermain outside. The fire department disabled the blaring smoke detectors. At this point a property manager had been summonsed, Brad. Brad informed us we could move to another home. We were unsure what to do in light of the devastating situation. It was very evident there was no remaining in the villa. A move would have to be made. Brad agreed he could find someone to help us collect and move to the new location. Brad remained on his phone in obvious concern for protecting the Villa, his interest in us as a family as humans as customers was non-existent. Not a single I'm sorry, not a are you okay, not a what can I do to help nothing the same from Michelle. After phone calls again to request help in transporting from the Villa to the new location it was clear no one would help and no one cared.
Upon arrival at the new home the maids were still cleaning we were hot we were soaking wet we were carrying wet clothes wet towels as much as we could handle. We were able to unload at 8:45. The maids were gracious. I gave them a tip.
After 9:30 we were finally able to shower and find dry clothes. No one had eaten we had to drive to Georgetown for takeout completely exhausted and very just disheartened.
This morning we all woke exhausted and in disbelief of what we had just been through. We are now in another very old home, charming as it may be, we do not need six bedrooms. We no longer have access to a swimming pool out the back door as we had selected at the villa, we no longer have beach friendly area. Because of the seawall and the vicious waves this is not a safe area for grandchildren.
I am highly disappointed in the lack of professionalism ,empathy, humanity and kindness that we experience yesterday it is beyond my belief that there could be no appropriations made for such conduct, or lack of conduct. I cannot in good faith recommend a return trip for myself or anyone else. It was clear that during this crisis no one wanted to help and no one really cared shame on you All. Shame on you all.
