Stay in Eastham

Really adored this property so close to the beach. Perfect balance of accessibility to beach, rail trail, restaurants and shops. Plus the backyard is very private and roomy enough to accommodate those who like to read or play. Hosts were very communicative and would definitely consider staying here again.

Beautiful house and great location

get hideaway with convenience

walking distance to bay side beaches. good for coffee stroll or watching sunsets with wine. National park seashore beaches and great eats are close by too! plenty of room for family and all the expected amenities. and Margaret, the hostess, called just to personally navigate us to the beach entrance.

Perfect Labor Day Weekend

Margaret responds very quickly. The house was perfect for our long Labor Day Weekend. Plenty of close restaurants, easy walk to the quiet beach. Close to everything we needed to make the last weekend before school started perfect. Thank you!

perfect spot for soaking up the Cape

If you love the Cape, you cannot but love this beautiful home. Wife and I, and our 18 year old son stayed for a week in July. We walked the bay beach early every morning (he slept to noon thanks to solid AC), sometimes going for a swim, sometimes just walking for miles picking up shells. Try not to miss a sunset if you can help it - even when you think it's not gonna happen. The whole Cape is within an hour drive here - so much amazing seafood, PB Boulangerie, easy access to grocery. Hit a bump on the way in with some cleaners miscommunication, but the owners rectified it immediately. Would rent again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful first time visiting Cape Cod

What a great way to spent a few summer days near the beach in Eastham. The house is nicely updated, very well cared-for and maintained, with a lot of simple and subtle touches that make the experience easy and fun. The living area + kitchen is nice and open. The bedrooms are perfectly sized for any group, especially for parents and kids. The owners are very responsive to any questions. The location is great, just a few minutes stroll down an easy path and stairs to a quiet, relaxing part of the beach. At high tide, it feels very much like a perfect, standard beach, and at low tide, you can walk out quite a ways. We loved it and would come back in a second!

Comfortable home in an excellent location

Our family enjoyed our stay in this comfortable and conveniently located house in Eastham. The house is 3-5 minutes walk from the beach down a quiet private lane. The beach is also quiet, on the inner side of the Cape. During low tide, our whole family enjoyed walking out hundreds of yards to the ocean, exploring the sandy beach, tidal pools, and salt marshes along the way. We caught everything from fish to hermit crabs to snails to green crabs to spider crabs, found sea shells, clams, and horseshoe crab shells. The house is also 5-10 minutes drive away from the Cape Cod National Seashore National Park, facing the outer side of the Cape. The closest beach there, Coast Guard beach, is nice and sandy. There are also good walking and biking trails both in the Park, and leading to the park. The Cape Cod Rail Trail, a long biking path, is easily accessible from the park or other locations 10-15 minutes drive away. There are several good dining options nearby. In addition to the typical tourist spots that serve up fried food, local favorites such as CShore and Karoo are only minutes of drive away. Plus Ben and Jerry's which quickly became a hit with our kids. The house has 3 bedrooms with plenty of room for our family of 4 and can easily sleep 6. Owner has been very communicative and easily reachable, and has left various board games and books for guests to enjoy. There's also a grille and a fire pit! The only downside is there is no AC, and we happened to stayed here during one really hot spell. Great beach weather, but also hot overnight. There's plenty of backyard space for kids and adults to play games, and a nice patio with umbrella to sit and relax. Neighborhood is quiet; you can see other houses through thick bushes but plenty of privacy. Overall we enjoyed a very relaxing week here in Eastham, and would come back and stay here again!

Kingsbury Beach

The property is just as described. The owners are lovely - we had not been back to Eastham in a decade. This was after having been going every summer for 18 years prior to our decade long hiatus. I did not think I would want to start it up again but this experience changed our minds. We are returning for sure ! I don’t know for sure if the description mentions the outside shower but it’s great and a must for a cape rental. Awesome time

I don’t want to tell you how good this place is

I’m caught between wanting to be truthful and wanting to protect our family’s magical spot. The owners could not be nicer or more wonderful, the home is amazing, snd its location (if you love the Bay Area) is perfect. The only warning is that if you are vacationing with elderly folk who can’t climb stairs and want to go to the beach…this private beach may not be for you as it involves many stairs to get to. Otherwise, I cannot say enough about how much we love love this home and it’s location.

Fantastic rental- close to the beach and very comfortable for our family

We have been renting in Eastham MA as a family for many years. This was a great house and close to the beach. The location was close to all of our favorite National Seashore beaches and restaurants. The owner was quick to respond to all questions. Highly recommend this rental!

Great location

My adult children and 7 year old grandson stayed here and it was perfect. The beach was close via “the enchanted beach trail” as my grandson called it. The space was so comfortable with a well appointed kitchen, dining table big enough for all of us to eat together, relaxing and game playing spaces, and yard big enough for games. The ocean side beaches are also a short drive away. The outdoor shower was wonderful and was a must after a day at the beach. Totally recommend this home for a memorable vacation.

Good location

We loved the privacy. Only occasionally would a car or pedestrian go by. The deck got a lot of use, as did the outdoor shower. The short walk to the beach made sunset viewing easy.

Great family house close to beach!

Really nice house- multiple places to sit and hang out, many board games, TV and internet great, good kitchen and big yard with soccer net for kids! Very close walk to beaches and nearby bike path. Owner was terrific with questions. Would stay here again very happily!

I had a wonderful stay here. It was really great to be just a short walk to the bayside beach. The cottage was very clean and the kitchen had everything needed for cooking etc. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

A wonderful house! Great indoor space, great deck, amazing outdoor shower, short but scenic walk to beautiful private bayside beach (we caught some incredible sunsets there!)--and extremely nice, responsive and hospitable owners. My family and I would happily stay again here for future vacations!

Wonderful Escape

Delightful. Super easy to get to the cape side beaches. Short bike ride to cute restaurants including our fave Hole In One Donuts and short drive to all of Orleans and Wellfleet. Host was very easy to communicate with and took very good care of us.

First Family Vacation

Our visit to Swift Road was our first as a family of four. My wife and our one-year-old twins completely enjoyed the house, the property and amenities and the proximity to bother the beach and local attractions/restaurants. Great stay!

Nice house in a great location!

We had a great trip down to the Cape and enjoyed staying in Margaret's house. The house is lovely and had everything we needed. The third bedroom (room with one queen, not the master) was a little disappointing because it is very small, no A/C in that room, no closet or bureau, and a very firm mattress (although Margaret was willing to get a mattress topper). The other two bedrooms were great. The location is great and it is short walk to two beaches. The private association beach may be a little bit closer, but it is down a long flight of stairs, so with the kids and all the stuff we wanted to have on the beach (chairs, sand toys, etc.), we preferred walking to Kingsbury Beach, which was a really easy walk, and one of our favorite Cape beaches.
