Come escape, relax and enjoy Southern Illinois. Centrally located, with quick access to Marion's Downtown and city amenities. Plenty of space to unwind after a trip to Shawnee National Forest, Giant City State Park, Carb Orchard, or even the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail.

This home features 2 large bedrooms, both equipped with King Beds. As well as large open living room. You can enjoy the outside from the back deck or large front porch. Making this home the perfect place to make lasting memories.

Checking in was not very smooth the 8 plus bags of garbage with maggots on the back porch which lead to a 12 flies in the house was almost enough to leave

The place was clean and in a good location for the activities we wanted to do. The floor in the bathroom was slanted and the tub was high and difficult to get out of without falling. They really need some type of bar to hold on to. I think older people would find it really challenging. The biggest issue was the large deposit and the amount of time it took for it to be returned was very frustrating.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you found the home clean and the location convenient for your activities. The home does have a traditional clawfoot tub, as shown and described in the listing. It is a taller tub, so we understand that guests with mobility concerns may find getting in and out more challenging. For guests who prefer a more accessible option, we do have several other homes in the area that offer walk-in showers and would be happy to help find a better fit. Regarding the deposit, guests have the option to purchase damage protection insurance rather than placing a refundable deposit. If the deposit option is selected, the funds are held and automatically released according to the platform’s set timeframe. Unfortunately, that processing and release timeline is controlled by the system and is not something we are able to adjust as hosts. We understand that waiting for the funds to be released can be frustrating, and we appreciate your understanding.

This was a last minute booking for us due to a death in the family. So it was great to have a place in the middle of town for us to be close to family. The bedrooms were large and so were the beds. The only thing I didn’t read was that we had to provide our own toilet paper so when it ran out in the middle of the night there was no other roll in the house. Also we would have liked to have a few more towels instead of one per person. The host requested that picture of the doors to the home be taken and sent at check out to show the was secure. There is a camera on the front porch and we thought it was an odd request.
